About Noble Fates

In a far, far away land, mortals vie for control over a physical plane of existence. A collection of gods oversee this plane, lending their powers to those they see fit in pursuit of balance. Denizens of other planes reach their hands (and claws) in, many seeking nothing but chaos. You are a Kontra, a Demigod with the power to influence and control mortals. Though still a novice, you seek to build a kingdom worthy of lasting recognition.
You haven't had much luck so far...
Mortals have Alignment and Opinions which make them unique. They have Memories where they store the interactions that have impacted them the most. Their Alignment, Opinions, and Memories drive their reactions and decisions.Embrace the unique set of Beliefs that unite your Mortals to keep them happy!
A highly motivated Mortal will do everything in their power to rise to the top and make their foes pay while making sure everyone knows why. Each playthrough is seeded with a simulated history of Mortals and interactions that form the basis of where your story starts.

Mortals learn, they influence one another, and their Skills and Ambitions grow. Gods reward their growth with powerful Abilities. Eventually they age, regress, and die.
Take control of your ruler in third person to appreciate your kingdom from a new perspective! Embark on a peaceful stroll through your forest. Hunt a local herd of deer for food using your trusty magical bow. Butter up a trader to lower their prices for a good deal. Convince a visiting Noble to defect from their liege lord and donate their goods to your cause. Live out cinematic moments where you hop down from the battlements to ambush your foes or use your skills to keep the attention of a giant beast while your people bring it down.
Beyond other Mortals, a growing threat has culminated in the appearance of Demonic Carbuncles across the lands. Break them open to take on the challenge of the Demonic Breach - yielding endless waves of Demons with scaling rewards. Face the Breacher, a demon that can lay waste to even the strongest defenses. Wield the local Mage's powers to push back the threat and seal the Breach before everyone dies. Bask in the glory of besting overwhelming odds or forego the rewards and choose the safer path. It's up to you.A Kingdom continues as long as you have someone left to wear the crown. The loss of a ruler can render the reason behind a longstanding feud moot or bring a forgotten injustice back to the forefront. Opinions of a new ruler will differ and people will react accordingly.
Keep your people alive and happy to secure their legacy!

The loss of the Kingdom is but the end of a chapter in a World's story...

Noble Fates is a 3D colony simulator with fantasy medieval elements that offers strategic depth appealing to Rimworld veterans, featuring unique mechanics like simulated projectiles and flowing water alongside goofy character personality details. However, players are divided on its execution: some praise its distinctive approach and find it worth the asking price, while others criticize the slow pace, performance issues, shallow character engagement, and lack of sufficient content depth to justify the purchase.
Update: Gave it another try, still didn't like it. Things just don't make sense like it taking a full in game hour to walk back and forth from two short distance to dump a small quantity of straw into a stockpile. I am not willing to spend 35years playing this game. I wanted to like this game because it feels like there is a lot going on but it is not for me. Too slow. I also didn't like that I put wakeful (Less need for sleeping) on a guy and all they did was sleep anyway despite removing that from their schedule; Their need for sleeping was constantly high. People have said this is a better Going Medieval and while maybe there is more content here, Its far too slow going for me and somethings just feel painful. Maybe you are supposed to play on 4x speed the whole time? I don't like to play that way personally. I want everything to feel deliberate. Why does it take a guy 1hr in game hour to run 100m? Who is that slow in real life? Guy wakes up (after sleeping in a wooden bed for 6hrs only partially rested somehow) to eat berries FOR AN HOUR and only 1/4 full. Dude what!? When making a person, I really dislike all the sliders. Give me presets for colors. This isn't skyrim and…5 found this helpful
A hidden gem of a colony sim. For me, it hits the right balance between technicality and fun. It's not as in-depth as Dwarf Fortress but surpasses Going Medieval. If you enjoy colony sims, I would give this a go!1 found this helpful
This is a good game that has obviously been made with love. It can be a slow-burner but that's the nature of colony sims to start off with. It adds to the genre by fleshing out pawn relationship and need mechanics. It's worth getting if you enjoy colony sims and construction however it lacks some gameplay and quality of life features: QOL: * A location where reward items drop; * Prioritising areas so that pawns will attend to things in the order you want them to; * Having a planning mode, so that you can plan things out without them being constructed; * Hot keys for canceling and deconstructing builds - it's annoying that C puts you into third person mode; * Shift-clicking crafting items, so that you can order batches of 10 or 100 things to be made; *A Copy build option rather than having to go back into the menu via 'Tool' and selecting the item * A copy production que option; * The option for schedules and job priorities to be automatically copied to new pawns upon recruitment; * The ability to sort jobs by highest / lowest skilled or prioritised worker, or by name; Gameplay: * Adding horses / mounts and vehicles - not just for trading purposes (a horse with a buggy would be…1 found this helpful
Seen this listed on a steam sale streamers utube video, saw that it was multilevel Dwarf Fortress / Rimworld type of game and thought I would give it a try. Definitely getting my moneys worth out of it, just in the middle of my first winter, after a couple of new games as I work my way through learning it, so far no bugs so is stable, and having a lot of fun. I have played hundreds of hours of primarily Dwarf fortress pre steam, and a lot of other colony/city builders starting with the original simcity back in the day, so its definitely not my first rodeo in this kind of game category I am not going to give it a detailed review as I have only played 18 hours of it, over 2-3 days, but it has got me hooked, so as far as I am concerned, I give it a big thumbs up, and suggest you give it a try.
cool
It's a fun and addictive game. Looking forward to 1.0 release.
