🌟 Follow Ainsel Reviews - Curator for the weird & lovely 🌟 Where Time Ends touched a fear I rarely let myself name. I still have my mother. And maybe that’s why this hurt so gently. Because I already know what loss sounds like when it enters a room. I’ve said goodbye to my father. To the father of a great love. To friends, to relatives. To animals who weren’t “just pets”, but soul companions who carried me through the dark. This game doesn’t scream its grief. It listens. It asks what we would give for one more moment. One more sentence. One last quiet understanding. The puzzles are thoughtful, but the real challenge is emotional. It holds pain with empathy, not spectacle. And when it ends, it doesn’t leave you empty. It leaves you seen. Some games entertain. This one sits with you.
I Would Break Time For Her.
I don’t usually write reviews like this. But this one feels personal. I’m not writing this as just another player. I’m writing this as a son. I lost my mother six years ago, in 2020. That year took a lot from a lot of people.. but for me, it took her. And there isn’t a single day that goes by where I don’t think about one more conversation. One more hug. One more “I love you.” When I saw this game, 'Where Time Ends' about a man building a time machine to see his deceased mother one last time, I didn’t hesitate. I lost my own mother six years ago, in 2020. And the moment I read the premise, I thought “Holy sh;t… they made a game about a man, a son, like me.” "Literally Me.." Just a son who would go through anything.. logic, morality, even the laws of time itself.. for one more conversation. This game understands something most people don’t talk about: grief isn’t neat. It isn’t rational. It doesn’t follow rules. When you lose your mother, part of you stays suspended in time. You replay moments. You imagine conversations. You think about what you’d say if you just had five more mi…

When Where Time Ends ends, the time you spent on Where Time Ends ends as well. Where does time end? Time ends where Where Time Ends' endings end. When I first played Where Time Ends, it wasn´t the end of time, but it was indeed the end of the time where I hadn´t played Where Time Ends. In the end, before playing Where Time Ends, the time of playing Where Time Ends seemed not to end; but after playing Where Time Ends, I realised the time of playing Where Time Ends had ended. Where is time? Time is with me, with all of us, at the very end.

A short game that can be completed in about five minutes, but the main objective is to discover all of the other endings before unlocking access to the true final ending. This is a very tiny game that takes place in a small garage, where you play as a son who wants to build a time machine to see his mother again. The controls are as simple as possible, with basic movement and interaction using the left mouse button. Objects that you can interact with are easy to spot because they gain a white outline when you move the cursor over them. The main objects in the game are three tools placed on a board. If you want to use a different tool, you must run back to the board and replace the one you are holding because you can only carry one tool at a time. Everything else requires you to hold down the left mouse button and drag items around the garage to their correct locations. Items will snap into place when you are close enough, so precision is not necessary. The steps you must follow are shown in the diary, accompanied by helpful images. Since the garage is dark, the first task is to turn on the lights by connecting some wires. This is the only traditional logic puzzle in the game. Yo…
