About The Backrooms: Reset

Inspired by the popular 4chan "the backrooms" post"If you're not careful and noclip out of reality in the wrong areas, you'll end up in the Backrooms, where it's nothing but the stink of old moist carpet, the madness of mono-yellow, the endless background noise of fluorescent lights at maximum hum-buzz, and approximately six hundred million square miles of randomly segmented empty rooms to be trapped in.God save you if you hear something wandering around nearby, because it sure as hell has heard you." - Unknown

About Game

The Backrooms: Reset is a first-person survival horror exploration game.
Step into the Backrooms, a labyrinth of liminal environments. In this roguelike survival experience, the layout of the Backrooms remains constant, but each playthrough presents new challenges. You'll spawn in different locations each time, with every item and encounter dynamically altered. Clues are scarce, and exploration is key. Death resets your progress back to the beginning.

The Story

On October 3rd, 1996, a VHS tape was discovered in the back room of a shuttered video rental store in rural Ohio. The contents appeared to document the final known movements of a \ who vanished without a trace. What you are about to witness is the unaltered footage recovered from that tape. Authorities never identified the subject. No missing persons case was ever filed. The individual was never found.

Features

  • Large, unique maze-like levels inspired by the Backrooms Community Driven Lore.
  • Unique level interactions, such as an arcade machine, and presents in Level Fun, and an almond water vending machine in Level 4.
  • Entities from Backrooms lore, including Hounds, Death Moths, Partygoers, Smilers, Wretches, and more.
  • Randomized item spawns to help you survive like Almond Water, Energy Drinks, and Liquid Pain.
This game is an original interpretation of the Backrooms concept and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any other media or creators.

This is the backrooms game I have wanted for so long. Actual roguelike with hand crafted levels and elements of randomization. Easy recommend. Please keep adding levels until the 1.0 release!
