Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Empire City

It's just not a fun game. If you like TMNT, you are going to have some initial excitement discovering the characters, the enemies, and the turtle lair. There are a few cool easter eggs and interactions that will make an TMNT fan smile. However, within the first few missions, you will quickly notice the poor game design, repetitive tasks and enemy interactions, poor AI, and the lifelessness that is the Empire City. It's a cool concept but it feels like a low effort VR game or an early concept from the early 2020s. It's 2026 and TMNT deserves a little better, IMO.

Game concept is cool, we surely need a TMNT game in VR. With that out of the way, sadly the game suffer from alot of bugs, we had 2 major bugs, and few minor bugs. Keep in mind this is a short linear game, scrips breaks, bosses dying on their own.... missions made to be played in 1 way but u can initiate it the wrong way and stop your progress.... with the current state of the game as of Aug 2026 its not recommended. Hopefully devs iron out the bugs and make sure the coop quality is there, if game scripts/logic gets confused due to coop nature, then what's the point!!?

The combat is mediocre at best. The few bosses that exist are all terribly designed. The final boss had potential but was a buggy mess.

Grew up with the turtles. I only play vr games . This vr game is great in both regards.👍🏻 The music . 👍🏻 The open environment 👍🏻 The combat 👍🏻 The story 👍🏻 All great and even better when you have people to play with . Definitely recommend this game .

late review here but playing this game back in June was cool for the first few minutes but became repetitive and bear bones very quickly, this would have been cool in 2019 but with the year we are in its a very dry and boring game with no purpose. Thankfully i got this on sale but the price for this is just god awful and TMNT deserves way more and better than a nothing burger vr game that will get you drained in a few minutes. The missions are just the same 5 things over and over plus the fact they charge you more for pointless "retro classic" skins for the deluxe is a pointless cash grab. At this point i feel like tmnt game devs are just stupid, don't even bother buying this junky gimmick game.

Very good looking game and very fun so far!, I am excited to finish this game! I will update after playing again next time!
