8AM: The Office

Much like the original, this game is a solid anomaly finder for such a low price. I'd still argue that the final achievement's anomaly count needs to be 60 or lower, because after having won on my second try I resorted to spending 15 minutes hitting YES then NO until I got it to pop.

This game was a lot of fun to play. I started without the jump scares and they turned them on once we made it to 8 AM the first time. Chat loved helping me find the anomalies and watching me jump when I got scared. I definitely recommend checking this game out.

The 8AM series is a fantastic collection of anomaly horror games. The black-and-white surveillance cameras and fixed camera angles create constant tension, making you question every detail on screen. Each map offers plenty of unique anomalies and a creepy atmosphere that keeps you engaged. If you're a fan of observation duty-style games, this series is well worth your time. 2.5/5 Game's ok but needs an overhaul. The game is easy and not scary at all even with "Jumpscares" button enabled. Most anomalies are mediocre - different changes like "person missing, standing in other room". I successfully collected all 100 anomalies by finding 7 anomalies in a row 3 times, without even looking at cameras, purely by bruteforcing the button... I will leave a positive review if the game gets a major update. Ideas to improve the game: 1. Make the player specify the room/camera where the anomaly persists. 2. Add unique anomalies with motion like something moving in the darkness. 3. Delete "Jumpscare" button, tone down jumpscares to 1-2%, make anomalies to be some kind of jumpscares and something stationary creepy - merge the horror dynamic and make crazy jumpscares rare so we don't see those once every two minutes. 4. Do everything possible to make players gripped to the game so it doesn't feel pointless. 5. Add more Steam achievements, cards and badges.
