Escape from Yandere

as of right now i cannot recommend the game, I played with the English Translation. its false advertisement at this point, she doesnt have the interactions she had in earlier versions. I get that the developer wanted to remove Ai. yet, this game felt more lively with the Ai in the game. her interactions are bugged and more limited now. They even at times feel delayed! there's times where she'll stand still for several minutes and not trigger anything. She has less interactions than previous versions. She'll get angry when I was opening a drawer that has A QUEST ITEM IN IT from the current quest im doing. Doesn't tell me where the keys for the doors that have the current quest items are like in previous versions so i can continue quests! Gets mad no matter what key i pick up even if its the correct one. theres also a meter now for how close she is to getting angry, this takes away from the fear aspect since we can now see and micromanage her anger. Getting her to stop being mad is a chore now, unlike earlier versions. you have to keep giving her items and saying "i love you" or "im sorry" multiple times. where as previously you just had to give her an item than apologise or sa…

mic works when it feels like it its not that great honestly you can even softlock sometimes because some scripted event are bugged

Honestly i've tried to like this game genuinely but there is way to many bugs and glitches for me to actually even try to finish this game. At first i was stuck on a black screen when clicking a continue game which was fine ill start a new one no problem. And then you get stuck in the corner not once but twice right outside the laundry room if you tried closing the door behind you while leaving it causing me to lose multiple runs to a glitch spot i couldn't leave. Not to mention that the last key doesn't spawn and i couldn't find it anywhere to access the very last room of the game. The only reason why i have the escape achievement through the weirdest bug of all, the keys, items, record players and everything spawned right in the living room at the start of a new play through. to say the least this game is so buggy i would say its damn near unplayable and i was honest to god was excited to get this game.

I got this game to enjoy during October to fit the theme of the month. Ultimately I didn't like the game. The voice commands didn't function fully as intended and it was near impossible to get away from the yandere to do anything. I spent more time using a table to just keep her locked on the other side and waiting for her do a prompt for one of the 2 voice commands that even work. I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone. Normally I don't even write reviews, but this one felt like it needed it. Game needs MUCH improvement.
