Compared to Fatal Frame series, even considering this game being an indie title, there are many problems. The third-person camera collides with everything in interiors and is overly sensitive to collisions. Puzzles are unintuitive and have no UI or environmental indications on how to solve them most of the time. There are many moments in the game where the player is left confused on what to do next or where to go next, which chain of events to expect. Everything else is well done, but the problems mentioned above kill the whole experience.

First of all, it feels like basically nothing changed. It looks and feels like the exact same game, still has tons of (obvious) bugs, some text is basically unreadable because of low image resolution, and there's a good number of typos. Not only that, but the dialogue feels very out of place with the tones and speeds. One of the more surprising moments are how the controls also feel super outdated. And if this was going to be a remaster, would it have killed you to spend some time to fix a lot of the facial animations? On top of this, the game gives you almost no hints on what to do or where to go. I ended up having to watch a speedrun, just to figure out what the goal was, in some cases. I also died a bunch of times to the Pocong Radja, because how tf was I supposed to know I had to hold down a specific button during a cutscene? Could've at least done a Resident Evil 4 style QTE. Outside of overall gameplay STILL being horrendous, the 'Remastered Collection' advertised having better graphics, even though it looks like a combination of PS3 emulation upscaling and AI upscaling at best, or just lighting changes at worst. Honestly, this is one of the best horror games I’ve ever played. I loved it so much just wow theres so much to it. Despite the glitches and bugs, which can sometimes be annoying and even hurt the experience, the gameplay, puzzles, and combat completely won me over. The fights feel good and engaging, and the overall gameplay constantly makes you question what’s going to happen next. You’re always on your toes, and it keeps you excited to move forward because you genuinely can’t wait to find out what comes next. The movement can feel a bit wonky and sluggish at times, but that actually adds to the horror. Being slow and having attacks that are hard to dodge makes encounters feel more tense and scary, rather than easy or predictable. That said, the glitches are definitely noticeable. I had to restart the game a few times because certain items didn’t spawn or some enemies were bugged and couldn’t be fought properly. Those moments were frustrating, but even with those issues, the positives far outweigh the negatives.
