Thief VR: Legacy of Shadow

Im sorry.. but its like the game was made by AI.. it doesnt shine in anything.. The story is generic without any intresting or deep character. Mechanics are dull - the guards are blind and their lines are written by 5 year old.. Combat is pacifist.. You have the really want to hurt anyone. Optimisation is poor Graphics are OKish All of this combined was just not worth my time. I really hope that someone will fix this or make better next chapter as the potential is there.

For 20 bucks this is definitely a title I’d give a middle rating to besides a yes I recommend it or no I don’t. If you’re interested in this one, definitely wait for a sale. In my opinion with the amount of bugs and jank this game gave me, paying full price doesn’t seem fair. I didn’t play on day 1. It’s been out a while and still has these issues. What I did enjoy was the simplistic thief-like game play. Idk what the classic thief games are like so I have no reference. I just found it fun sneaking around the dumb, blind, and near deaf guards, stealing their stuff, and knocking them out. Pick pocketing feels good too. Every level also has some side quests and a hidden item to find. This may entice you to explore the level to try and uncover as much as you can. I played this on a bsb2 so the dark environments looked really great in my hmd. Now for the bad/annoying stuff. For bugs, sometimes loot would get stuck in drawers. I’d eventually get it out but it would take a bit. Sometimes when you knock down a guard depending where they fall down they might get stuck in a wall, a railing, or stairs. worst game ever. Tutorial mission was fun, but then I spent an hour in the second level trying to figure out how to get into the dome. I found a piece of paper that said one of the guards on the floor had the key so I knocked out every single enemy and stripped them down looking for keys. I found nothing. So I searched everywhere on the ground floor. I stroked my bird a few times, but found nothing except a sick secret bookcase and pastries. Why was there no keys? How do I get into the dome? Nevermind that, because I noticed the library door was lockpick-able from the inner side in the dome, so I stuck my hand over the door and phased my entire 2 arms through the door with my lockpick, and used the vibrations of my controller to unlock the door from the inside out. Then, I realized that this probably wasn't an intended game feature, closed the game, and went to sleep. In my dreams, I got into that dome, and got that cool looking relic. But when I woke up, the game was still ♥♥♥♥ :( also the guards are really dumb.

I was apprehensive at first being a fan of the franchise since it started but I actually really enjoyed this game. Thief vr Legacy of Shadow feels like a true Thief game & the mechanics work really well. I would recommend to anyone.

I stopped after the 2 nd mission. Graphics are nice. However, everything else is repetitave and not fun. Combat is dumb, AI is dumb. It was just not fun after some point wandering around collecting stuff, killing the same way, unlocking the same way. Also there are quite some bugs and it is quite hard sometimes to figure out what to do. I do not recommend it. Only if they put some time to fine tune what is already there ....
