The Amusement

Played on Meta 3 via Virtual Desktop. I played this game in roomscale and thoroughly enjoyed it. The story telling takes you on a deeply emotional journey with some light puzzle elements. I wish there were more VR games in roomscale of this caliber. Very well done and highly recommend.

An absolutely positive experience, good graphics and story (funded by ARTE, which is an indication for quality over here in Germany/France), without encountering any bugs as mentioned by others. The most notable fun feature of this game is that it allows you to use room scale locomotion with redirected walking (no stick movement), which ups the immersion pretty well, to use it you need a 2m x 2m playspace.

Went into this with low expectations and found that it can’t be played seated was disappointing but I gotta say it’s a fun game. A nice departure from the standard puzzle game. A lot like Eye of the Temple but a better mix of puzzles. You have to physically walk through the well designed halls and doors. You need the room but if you have it, get the game. The puzzles are not hard but they do keep you engaged. Good graphics and a fair amount of interactive objects. Good story, too.

There is so much to like about this game. I expands playfully on the 2x2m free roam game and has some wonderful largescale set pieces that wow and suprise especially given the spatial limits. There are a lot mechanics here to make this worth buying. If you are looking for a fun vr game that is a bit different give it a go. Inspite of the folliowing critisisms i still recommend The story is so-so. The 2d cut scenes are badly drawn and all the characters are unlikeable. There is a bug with the vignette setting. It says you can have it on or off but off is actually always on... and on is on when usuing moving platforms which was claustraphobic and imersion breaking. These are easy fixes so hopefully this gets fixed. There is no fixing the terrible character at the end or the half baked end moment. The guide voice is overly helpful especially later on spoiling so moments of discovery...

A very short and sweet story puzzle game. I would say the puzzles are pretty easy, few hard ones, but fun interactive ones. Theres a few annoyances where turning is slow, out bounds stuff, but not too bad. Overall fun for a sale.

I want to like this game. I really do. It's clear that a lot of love went into it, the visuals are great, and the story, while a bit odd for the setting, is presented well. But the gameplay and the bugs let it down. There are only about 4 different types of puzzles, all of them too easy, and they repeat over and over throughout the game, with very little variation. It starts to feel like a chore, but not even a fulfilling chore, because there is so little challenge. Every time I got to a new challenge, I already knew it was going to be solution A, solution B, or solution C. The incessant use of controller vibration whenever the player touches anything is very distracting, and really needs to be toned down or removed. At one point in the game I was unable to put one of my tools into my inventory. When dropping it (which should return it to inventory), it just kept falling to the ground in slow motion. Knowing I needed this tool, I had to perform various acrobatics to keep holding it while climbing ladders and moving between rooms. Luckily when I took a break in the middle of the game and started it again later, the tool was in my inventory and didn't have to be lugged aroun…
