Core Defense

Honestly this game is really lackluster. You unlock everything after like 6 playthroughs, and it's either easy or 100% impossible. and it takes so long to play that it's not worth it at all to get to higher difficulties which directly locks me out of getting more points without weeks of grinding games. it's difficult to complete one single game as ill often get exhausted and bored after playing for over an hour and only being halfway through.

No real progression or upgrades if you can't beat the initial 50 stages except new unlocks, but have no idea which unlocks are better. Too much experimenting without success. Progression would have made Core Defense much more rewarding. I've learned my lesson. Not quite what I look for in a TD, nor particularly engaging in terms of gameplay, design or aesthetics.

Core defense is a very unique tower defense! Along with picking from a solid variety of towers and abilities, this game gives you the unique ability to structure the map you're defending! The towers have good synergies and the runs are consistently fun, as well as becoming progressively more challenging as you reach higher difficulties. One downside to buying this game is that it's a bit incomplete without the DLC, but buying the bundle is only an extra $3.50 than getting just the base game and it's cheaper on sale. I recommend this game to achievement hunters and tower defense lovers!
