✦ AI summary

OPUS: Prism Peak is praised for its beautiful art, heartwarming and emotional story about regret and moving forward, and excellent music and voice acting, with players particularly appreciating the photography-based discovery mechanics that reward careful observation. However, some players feel the narrative becomes convoluted in places, particularly regarding certain character reveals, and the game is best experienced as a contemplative walking simulator rather than a puzzle game, requiring the right mindset and distraction-free play.

A gentle narrative puzzle game. The core mechanic is photography, with both the puzzles and storytelling designed around the camera. Thanks to the fantastic art, players can take stunning photos even with free camera controls. This story is interesting and heartwarming. No need to collect all items and unlock all the stories. Just like the game tries to say: Not being complete is its own kind of complete.

I absolutely adored OPUS Echo of Starsong, one of my favorite games of all time. Prism Peak, even for what its trying to be, a story about dealing with regrets of the past, holding onto it and ultimately moving forward with a clarity, truly seeing the friends and lovers Eugene wronged by looking through them instead of looking at them. It still falls short, especially when it comes to Ren. Spoilers: The poster girl who is the grown up version of Eugene's daughter who died shortly after birth that contains the soul of Eugene's younger self. See that sentence sounds strange and through it that game really losses the mark. Why not just have it be Ren itself? Having that theme of this is who your daughter could've been if things had gone different is the perfect way to demonstrate learning to let go, hell it even makes Ending B way better since you instead of holding and taking her picture, simply don't. One must not only remember the past but must also learn from it instead of being haunted by it. My best wishes to the Sigono Team, your previous titles are all gems. This one has strong moments but unfortunately falls short.

Good story Play without anything distracting you in background because this game got many hidden lore and details by taking pictures of certain things But do know that this is more of a discovery kind of game not anything complex puzzles

Opus: Prism Peak is a beautiful but very emotional story about dreams and friends left behind, and comming to terms with the passing of loved ones. Its not an easy game to just pick up and play, but certainly an experience worth your time when you are mentally strong enough or in the right mindset. Gameplay; The gameplay of Prism Peak is a mix between a detective game where you piece together the narrative, and a walking simulator that takes you on a journey. Following the story of a man that has lost his memories and put into a situation where he has to remember and reflect on the past, you walk through a beautiful world taking pictures of anything that might tell a story. Those pictures are used to piece together lost memories and traumatic events of the main characters past and remember those dear to him. There are moments of tense and fast gameplay, but for the majority of the game you are playing a walking simulator. You photograph as much of the things in the world as posible that stand out from posters and signs to trinkets, in order to piece together memories. Most of these photographs and stories are straight forward, but some are a bit overbearing and needlessly v…
