I stumbled upon this game a while back on the Google play store. It had a free demo which I loved so much. Sadly, because I was a kid, I couldn't buy the full version. Years later, the name suddenly popped in my head, and Iooked the game up again and found it had a steam version! I bought the game and it was worth every cent. Awesome soundtrack. Slowburn story. Great dynamics. And lovable cast. To keep this review fair I also need to list my complaints. The game got a little repetitive with finding the items required to fix the rocket. The game was also extremely short, and left me wanting way more than what I had. The epilogue was great but needs to be downloaded seperately, which was a hasstle. Other than that it was a 10/10 experience that got me to buy the entire Opus series. If you like slice of life media, visual novels, great scenery, and awesome soundtracks you should buy this game.

some bugs and the slow plot style but think it an early game of sigono… if u can adapt those drawbacks opus rocket of whispers will be a fantastic game that create you fond memories.
I first played through [i]Rocket of Whispers[/i] in 2018 – back then I thought it was a beautiful story and concept wrapped with some clunky mechanics. I liked it a lot, but being a short 4-5 hour experience I expected to forget about it soon enough. It turns out the story stayed with me much longer and more strongly than I expected – My grandmother passed away about 18 months after I played, and this is the first piece of media that came to mind as I looked to put my feelings in order. ‘Rocket of Whispers’ is named aptly- it’s a quiet game, based around the premise of two people, possibly the last on their world, attempting to perform a final ritualistic ‘space burial’. This involves launching a rocket to reach the fringe of space, a ceremony designed to bring peace to those who have died. The story both past and present unfolds as one of the player-protagonists, John, scavenges the landscape around the rocket factory for the materials needed to complete the mission. It can be a frustrating process, John is impeded by the environment, sometimes unclear direction, and the often-irritated voices of the ‘spirits’ of the departed who demand that he do better.
