I cannot recommend this game, especially for anything over £10. This is one of the most barebones games I have played in a long time. It’s extremely basic and about as simple as the old Sensible Soccer games on the Mega Drive. The options menu is practically non-existent. You can’t adjust video settings, and you can’t even adjust audio settings beyond toggling music and SFX on or off. Gameplay is equally shallow. I started with the “Qatar Cup,” and my first match as Korea versus Uruguay ended 17–1!!!. I quickly discovered that simply tapping shoot inside the box makes the ball dribble past the goalkeeper every single time. There are little to no gameplay mechanics, no team or player customization, and very minimal depth overall. I did find the country selection interesting, although some expected nations are missing while some unexpected ones are included. The only real positive is that the graphics are bright and colourful. I’ve played two matches and I’m now getting a refund, which I rarely bother doing. It’s just far too barebones and doesn’t offer any real challenge.

There is something about soccer games, whether it is the complexity of replicating the sport or the high standards set by AAA titles, that causes most of them to fall short in terms of gameplay. Golazo 2 is no exception. Unfortunately, it has several flaws that become more apparent the longer you play. For example, you can score from three quarters of the field by using the center instead of taking a shot, and the player tends to kick out when near the goal line. Even so, the overall experience remains positive. Visually, it boasts a more attractive aesthetic than many other indie titles in the genre, and although the single player mode can be somewhat monotonous, I found it really enjoyable to play with friends, whether locally or via remote play. I recommend it when it is on sale. I definitely recommend this game to have a good, fun, arcade football experience! And, to be honest, I wish for Golazo 3 in the future because this game series has lots of potential. Definitely an improvement from Golazo 1. Especially much better menus and smoother gameplay. (But for some crazy reason, Golazo 1 is 1.09gb and Golazo 2 is 553mb...exactly half) I love the idea that there are no fouls apart of the penalty area. If I have to give a vote overall I would give a 7/7.5 and I think for the price tag of $12.99(full price) is worth it in my opinion. I would be happy even to pay $20 for a hypothetical Golazo 3 in the future, but only if there is a big jump in better. CONS for me: -The ball and players physics can/should be improved. -When you shoot towards the football goal, you pretty much get always the same result: 1)the goalkeeper gets the ball always in the same way; 2)the ball gets the net bars and then goes out and never bounce back to the field or goes inside the football goal. IT WOULD BE AMAZING TO HAVE MANY MORE VARIABLES when you shoot to the football goal. -It's quite annoying that everytime you do an action like shoot, lob, pause, anything, there is voice for …

Loving the graphics and presentation. Nice U.I and music. And that is where the positives end. Gameplay feels slow and unpolished on the Attack. Find it hard to know whose on my team and who's on the other team. I successfully passed to another teammate and every time, I am thinking that I have lost possession. Because it felt like the enemy players looked like they were wearing clothes similar to the player in possession of the ball that I would naturally try to pass to them. I am guessing the blue rings around the player are my team and the guys without the blue rings are the enemies. When the player is in defense mode, this is where my biggest gripe is. I don't have control the player or any other player's on my team. The AI is just moving my players. When I press a button to do something in defense mode, it feels like someone is doing something on the field, but I can't see it. I am looking at the player that is closest to the enemy player in possession, and I am pressing buttons but nothing is happening with the player I am looking at and it seems like another player in the corner of my eye is doing something instead. I said the U.I was good. But one criticis…

This game is so much fun. I have been playing this game all day straight and im so confused on why its not more popular then it is. I cannot wait for the new beat the champions game to come out after playing this game. 100% buying it first day. This game is definitely now my new daily driver golazo 2 > fc26 anyday. They definitely should add a small online feature in their next iteration. That will this game a rematch killer! Just wanted to say my final piece give the game a try, its very fun and addicting! And thank you to the devs for such a good time I enjoyed the game alot!

This game could have benefited from online Coop. Right now the person playing over RemotePlayTogether always complains about host advantage...
