This game is not enjoyable at all. over the near 20 hours of the game i played, i only enjoyed at most 1 hour or 2, which is when there are boss fight. The gauntlet, the enemies, the enivroment, all terrible. This game should not have Metroidvania tag as well because it does not have any element of a Metroidvania other than being 2D, no linear exploration/gameplay which you normally see, no "locked" area because you haven't unlock an ability through the story, none of that goodness. Just ass.

The pain was killer, but fun in the end after grinding out all endings.

My ideal game is this one, but without the platforming, or with platforming that works, or at the very least doesn't clip you through the floor every 10 minutes. I'd settle for just not constantly getting stuck in things and having to reload the game and start all the way back at my last checkpoint.

If you don't feel like reading my yap, here's a TLDR. I think the game is pretty good 8.1/10. Its pretty much borderline Metroidvania IMO. The story and atmosphere is great. The combat is fine, nothing crazy but the executions are cool. The soundtrack is good. Adds so much to the atmosphere of the game. I didn't find myself really going crazy over any of the tracks except maybe one or two. Exploration is great until later in the game when you're missing a small percentage of the map explored and you have no idea where you haven't explored, and then you realize the only way to experience certain bosses is playing the game on new game plus, If I didn't look that up, I would have spent the miracle knows (Blasphemous Reference) how long trying to figure out how to get into an area that isn't even openable. Really not a bad game, but I often found myself getting frustrated with how the game hides quests, items, and content apparently. I find myself on a Metroidvania binge with the new Castlevania game on the horizon and I recently had the pleasure of playing Blasphemous.
