Visually stunning with a satisfying gameplay loop with progressively larger maps and more dangerous animals. The sound track doesn't get enough love in these reviews - it fits so well with the ocean vibe. Definitely recommending due to how fast the Dev is to make improvements and patches for bugs and gameplay issues. I had accepted the fact I would never get to swim around in an anciet ocean untl now. I only have a short play time so far, though I can see myself spending a lot more time. The graphics are impressive and swimming around in an anciet ocean at night is breathtaking. The creatures seem to be meticulously modelled and I stuck my face in to quite a few. I usually play games like this with everything unlocked and just relax looking at things. Having said that, unlocking things in the spirit of discovery fits this game. If you have ever wanted to swim around hundreds of millions of years ago, you have to buy this game. Edit: not sure if I haven't played enough to work it out, but some more information in game about the era you are diving in and the critters you have discovered would be nice.

Absolutely amazing. I am a vr gamer and I absolutely love these realistic aquatic experiences. To date subside has been the best one. When it comes to realistic graphics, realistic, natural physics, I would say this game is about 85% there in comparison. But this game definitely makes up for that slight lack behind subside. Being able to go around take pictures you get 3-D models of the animals, taking DNA samples and the optional beautiful music and having a very wide variety of earths prehistoric animals through earth. History definitely makes up for that. So while subside is more realistic and natural and immersive all the extra features at this game has, I would have to say it makes it a little better than subside. And I really appreciate that I can set the game to the animals won't attack me. It's a good way to help build up your courage to go up to them and get used to them and enjoy their beauty and ferocity. I also really like the aquarium where you can sit back and see all the creatures that you've gotten your photographs in DNA sample of love and a nice aquarium very cool touch. First lets set the expectations; This is not subside. this is like subside but with ancient creatures whom you collect dna samples and pictures of to unlock new areas and species to put in an aquarium. Most of the creatures seem to have specific routes and wont react to you. nothing except the really small fish are really interactive, them smallies swim away from you. The swimming works mostly good for the valve index since an update, but there are some jank when you get near the bottom or try to take hold of something to push you forward. the hands often get stuck behind objects, and everything spasms out if you put your hand through the seabottom. The models look great, and the environments look good aswell. The graphics are not as good as subside. The game is made by a solo developer. Hopefully the dev is able to iron out some of the kinks, especially the interaction with the environment and the creatures. I recommend it, but dont expect subside polish. As the game is now, i am happy with my purchase and look forward to future updates.
