Pawbay

My daughter and I enjoyed playing "Little kitty, big city". However, it is singleplayer only. So we tried Pawbay, because it offers local coop. Moreover, it sais, it is a sandbox game, but in this regard it doesn't really deliver. It's just kick this, scratch that, run here and jump there. Nothing really to experiment with. Imo it is not worth the money, even with 40% off. Overall controls, menu and everything works fine as far as I can tell, but lacks heavily in content. I wouldn't even let my daughter play alone because of its stupidity.

It's very adorable. It's a chill goat simulator/goose game like game, but without as much to it. I mean that in good ways and bad ways. The point is just be a cat and do cat stuff. It's exactly what is says on the box. Movement and camera is a bit janky. I get why it's targeting jumping, and it goes smooth enough to have fun. Sadly the camera jerks and bounces off walls, and makes my wife sick to play. So sadly I'm not sure I'll be able to play much more.

I purchased this for my 7 year old daughter. She's on the spectrum and adores anything and everything that is Pink, or involves, has cats. Its a simple game that she has a blast playing. Exploring, running around the city jumping on everything she can, and on roofs, climbing wherever the game might let her. She's been finding the stars, and completing objectives in her own time. its something relaxing for her to play and relax without getting overly frustrated. The added bonus - Dad can join in split screen and play with her which adds to the value. If you enjoy cozy games just to sit back and relax give it a go --- STEAMDECK: This game plays fairly well with default settings on the Steam Deck oled. Only gripe I have is the settings for the camera sometimes its fine, other times I have to pick "inverted" to correct the camera to make up - go up, and down go down and not vice versa. Also when you have 2 controllers plug in - one is normal and the other is inverted and you have to select "inverted" in options to correct the camera movement to be "up is up and down is down".

initially i had a negative rating because the camera movements and the controls make me feel a tad queasy, but since posting the devs have shown that they are actively working to fix the issue, and in my little test run it feels infinitely better already. so not only does the game feel better to play, but the devs have shown that they actively take in player feedback and improve, which is amazing--i feel like i dont see enough of that this game is a cute, aimless little sandbox where you complete tasks just by playing. no storyline, no goal, just vibes. i like the little emotes that both you, the kitty, have, as well as the emotes that human npcs show in reaction to you. also, you can smack the people and they get mad >:3 go grab this title if you think it'd be something your interested in! its cute, simple, and silly, and frankly you dont need more than that (though i heard that the devs will be adding more areas overtime so im looking forward to that!)

The game is nice, especially fitting for moments when I want to talk to my friends and do something in the meantime that isn't extremely challenging.

Simple, relaxing and fun game. I like the jumping into a haystack from a high place mechanic.
