When Serena Williams wakes in a cold sweat from a nightmare, this is what she's escaping from. Absolutely exceptional video game.2 found this helpful
Really neat game. A couple things bother me about it. There is an elegance in the control scheme: one button swings your racket, charges your shot, and swats away certain bullets. However, there is a massive tradeoff which gets very frustrating towards the end. While there is deterministic racket physics (hitting in the same place returns the same angle), due to the sheer amount of stuff on screen you are often making the trade of aiming for dodging. In shmups this isn't much of a problem since enemies usually come from above you, so you can hold the shoot button and not really care. In here, matches can go on for a frustrating amount of time since you have to do this balancing act. Do you dodge which puts you at an angle you don't want to hit the ball, or do you just tank it and swing? I feel like if the racket was less granular in what angles it produced this would be a lot easier to manage. The music is great, but there was like a faint knocking during one of the stages I would have liked to do without. Otherwise, getting the most out of a very minimalist game. Awesome.
Very fun, easy to pick up and play a few rounds.
It's fun!
What a gem of a game. *EDIT* After doing some research into the game's mechanics (A little extra's manual or something could help greatly along with the tutorial explaining the 10 shot mechanic a bit clearer). I can safely say this game is near flawless for what it is. GG
awesome game, if u have a couple dollars and like an hour or two to kill go nuts this game rocks
