7 Years From Now

I played this to completion on my phone years back, decided to buy it on steam just to support the devs cause I love this game and to potentially play it again since it has unfortunately been taken off the play store. Its essentially a visual novel and it'll be my favourite of all time. EDIT: I went through and fully read it again. It was honestly better than what I had experienced the first time, maybe because I'm older now so I can understand whats going on better? Anyways I got into the side story since I never got to play it on mobile (no money, no access). Im gonna keep it short and sweet. The side story is basically an entire sequel instead of an epilogue. This game is worth every penny, please trust me on this.

played this game when it was still on the playstore after I found it randomly. This game left an imprint in my memory and after looking over reddit threads to find the game, I found it on steam, finished it and can say its just as good as I remember it was back then.

It's a good visual novel, I finished it in one sitting, including all epilogue and side story content. However, it wasn't quite as good as I expected from a game with 98% positive reviews. [h2]Visuals and Audio[/h2] I'm not a fan of the voxel/3D pixel art style, but my actual complaint is the lack of animation. There are no walking animations or facial expressions at all. The background music is great, despite its semi-minimalistic usage. [h2]Gameplay[/h2] Despite the art style, there's no actual gameplay. There are no puzzles or optional exploration. At most, you can talk to a few random NPCs that have no relation to the story. The keyboard movement controls are also awkward, though I got used after an hour. [h2]Story[/h2] The story is great, it reminds me of top-rated anime that blend coming of age, mystery, and slice of life. However, there are a few things I didn't really like: [list] [*]The main story is split into 40 mini-chapters. It should be compacted into 8 or fewer chapters to reduce interruptions. Seven years ago, I promised myself to come back to this game. A game that brought me to tears all those years ago. It has been... 7 months since then (hilarious), but I'm glad to have come back. While I didn't cry as I did before, being able to experience the story again as if the first time was magical.
