If you're used to using WASD controls, then I cannot recommend this game to you as this game has no key binding options at this time, and the controls in this game are: Up is Z Down is S Right is D Left is Q https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OvZUSu-ba5Q There is also no controller support so just navigating if you are used to WASD is going to be a chore. Also choosing English as the language will give you some English translation but much of it will still be French. ARGH! I cannot recommend this game in it's current state. $8 for this is way too much for a game that truly isn't made for Western and/or English players.6 found this helpful
A Second Chance is an abandoned Early Access attempt at making 2D retro pixel top down survival game with lightweight RPG elements, in French. The game is incomplete and barely, if at all functional. The game was abandoned roughly 2 months after launch and hasn't been updated in almost 4 years. It blew past the developers commitment to complete the game without any notification or admission of failure from the developer. There's no reliable indication the game will ever be completed, which is a reason for gamers to avoid this. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decis…1 found this helpful
The game is unfortunately unplayable at this time and given the update history this is the only and final version of the game. The keybindings for movement is in french, so ZQSD rather than WASD. Even if you do go to the effort to change your key board to the french configuration though the game is still very unresponsive to keystrokes and mouse presses making playing the game rather frustrating. It looks like the game might have been a rather cute survival simulator, but unfortunately iut just wasn't developed to the point where it was playable.1 found this helpful
My mind is boggled how an Early Access game that hasn't been updated in over 7 years is still on sale. Bonkers. Also, not much of a game here at all. Definitely can't recommend.
