Acropolis: The Archaic Age combines city-level organization with international strategy during the Greek archaic age.
Starting in 700 BC you will lead your state through more than two centuries in the ancient Greek world. Manage and expand your city, establish colonies in far away places, select wise policies for your state, trade for the resources you need, and honor the gods with great temples.

Its fun for a good amount of hours relative to the price of the game. One of the few city builders that actually tries to allow the player to interact with the world on a country scale, which is a great concept in theory and it does an ok job at it.4 found this helpful
easy casual empire builder, but abandoned before it was finished, albeit quite playable as is, can see the incomplete bits. city building requires patience or you'll overbuild, unable to support the infrastructure if that's paid in mind, there's more than enough space for everything the autosave will usually take you back to before a silly mistake, if you pause and load it straight away unfortunately no end game, just fulfil all the ambitions for a given polis and exit, then try a different one no replay value after the first polis tbh, simply didn't hold my interest combat is very boring, just watching two bars whittle down, with a couple buttons you have to research (flank, rally, barrage) plays like a bad tycoon game... [spoiler]import enough wood to build first of 6 carpenters. meanwhile export marble & wine, else most lucrative of other while you build wineshops buy trade agreements from those who want the most marble and wine buy admin points and build points as needed support villages and research, then buy the tech unlocked as desired accruing armies just takes time, buildings only increase potential size there is no rush to do anything, no sense of urgency, no time cons…4 found this helpful
Good little game. Needs more starting Polis than the four they have, 4 is just not enough. I would love to see more detial in the game but it is enough too satisfy me. I would definetly buy the next one.4 found this helpful

Great game for losing time and chill. It has some great mechanics, good graphics etc. Would recommend only for losing time and having fun with looking at numbers.
