A fun little political/city builder game with tons of replayability.

this game is an awful ♥♥♥♥-show of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up rng events unfairly biased to ♥♥♥♥ you over when you are about to beat it, cheap ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cash grab.

There is nothing wrong with this but given the Remastered version exists you should probably go for that. In any case this is a good game.

It's a great starting point to other games by the same developer. Unlike in Bronze Age, you actually have a bit more balance, even though the game still tries its best to crush you like an insect and turn your ruling into dust. Same goes for some of the choices, you don't really get much replayability in this case, since you do have to go through ''canon events'' in a planned way, like accepting Christianity, so you cannot just stay pagan or do anything else, which is a bit disappointing. But it's still a good game, give it a chance.

This game is really just childhood memories. I don't know if i would have liked it now if I hadn't played it so much when I was younger, but maybe. Worth a shot if you have a couple hours to kill, but I would personally recommend getting the mobile version unless you have a Steam Deck or something. It's very portable and great for long car rides, planes, etc.

It is literally impossible to get a victory playing as Athens. I thought may have just been me but chatgpt confirms that it cannot be done and recommends alternatives. The achievement that is possible to attain for Greek unification is not explained AT ALL in the game. Had to go to chatgpt to see the hidden conditions that must be met. The amount of gold, culture and army to meet objectives is notpossible to accumulate.
