It's completely abandoned the publisher hired BLUM to make the game then never worked out the bugs and issues. If you join the discord from the Steam main page it doesn't even list this game it just has their new game Crown of Greed. It's ok for $5 but there are bugs and the constant boring raids are so tedious. The enemy AI is stupid and easy to beat (wait for them to come to you then chase down the archers) but it's non-stop and uses a boring card battle mechanic. In general it's just not worth your time.

Honestly the game may or may not be fine, but I can't tell because the font size is so unimaginably small that I can't see it even while wearing my glasses. Shockingly, there is no way to increase this in the UI settings. Would have loved to love it. But that's a deal breaker for me.

This game has the makings of a good game with some work. I am finding bugs that keep me from being able to win any of the campaign scenarios though. In the first one I got all the way to the last task where you need to have a great person and then complete the tree but double clicking the perks did nothing and the Great Person never appeared in the city. Also the Decrees that looked like they were available had the same issue; clicking or double clicking did nothing. Therefore I could not win the scenario. In the War scenario I progressed to the second stage and could grow ingredients but the Tool maker, Olive press and lamp makers all had a ! over them saying no ingredients, no workers. I had over 250 unemployed along with over 500 bronze, wood, ceramics olives before placing the buildings so only the lamp maker should have been short olive oil. I could not get any further with out these items and there is no scenario tree so I am not sure if there are others after or not but I don't want to spend the time one the third option if there is no chance of winning. I have not encountered any of the random weather conditions or events other than raiders. I will wait and see if there…

I like the graphics, the ambient sound but as all other builders like this it demands you build, Build, BUILD! Why is this still the only way devs can make a game like this? Yes, let us fill the screen with endless iterations of a warehouse, or mill or whatever! This is the 21rst century, surely we can come up with newer ways to do this. Surely the ancients expanded their grainstores or warehouses. Just building more of things is BORING and costly. And having these buildings needing to be so close to a house is just typical BS. The Romans had carts. Carry more, farther. I can't recommend this game except to slaves of endless building sims. You could play Age of Empires, get the same effect it's just not as pretty. Time to grow up games (and devs).

So far, I really enjoy this game. There are some issues that I will list, but also list the good! Issues: Workers not delivering stuff and just running in place (this also happens with other people walking around, but they quickly fix themselves). There seems to be some issues with population control in the later game. The menu of recourses is too small and it's very difficult to find out total recourses. There seems to be some issues with the great persons. I feel like the desires of a class should be available as soon as possible (like I shouldn't have to produce beer so late). Great things: I love the pace of the game. It feels like there's some relaxation time, but also urgent go quick times. The size is good, but sometimes can feel restrictive later on when adding new buildings that are required. The battles and raids are fun! Honestly, there is so much potential with this game and hope the devs work on the issues that are being mentioned, because I can see myself getting lost in this game for hours!
