Across-Stitch

A cozy, pleasant cross between sudoku, picross, and a sprinkle of hexcells. Sadly the game focuses on procedurally-generated puzzles which (albeit rarely) can also have multiple solutions. As of February 2023 only one pack of 40 hand-crafted levels has been added. I sure hope to see more of it; three hours into it I've already done 100% achievements.

A well made puzzle game. A joy to play, weekly challenges. I haven't been able to get the import a puzzle feature to work but I don't think I'd care if there wasn't an achievement. The achievements are pretty sensible and it's not an overly difficult game. Easily worth $2.

Ah yes, my two loves: cross stitching and puzzles, 10/10

This was a fairly relaxing game. There are a few puzzles where you are guessing locations. Now, they have added stupid stuff to try to keep in the back of your mind. The 4th thread always has x character; the 3rd never has y character. I should be able to play this strictly based off of the base information of a puzzle. I have lost interest in this now. My life is hectic and complex enough. This was supposed to be a relaxing brain-exercize game, like Sudoku, where you know the rules; the rules do not change; you do not have to memorize anything.

Weak recommend. The variation on the typical picross/nonogram formula is interesting, but some of the color palettes make it way too hard to tell at a glance which hints or cells are which sometimes. I could've seen myself spending a bit more time with it if it weren't for that though. If you're color blind this is probably the game that kills you instantly.

This is a cute way to theme a nonogram or picross puzzle. The mechanics work well, with no glitches thus far. Computer generated puzzles fill out the one 40-puzzle starter "pack" that comes with purchase. Once you solve the puzzle you are told if you were perfect, or quick in addition to having solved it, which can give you additional challenges.
