After the Stream Went Dark

A horror tale involving a streamer and an obsessive fan. The game is really easy to get into, and it's not that long. The hand-drawn art style is simple; it kind of reminds me of Annie and the Art Gallery. There's actually some decent realistic VA, and I love how the soundtrack is used to convey some terror. This is a pretty good game, especially so if this is the dev's first game. I would like to see a bit more story like this expanded upon from them if they wish to continue.

This game is short and easy to complete, and despite it insisting you should grab a controller, you can play it just fine without one. It throws you right into the obsession-based horror and maintains the uneasiness throughout, although it doesn't really explain what the horror actually is or why it's happening (I feel like Veil is meant to be a metaphor for Nyx's insecurities about how her fans see her, but I'm not really sure). I appreciate how it addressed the often overlooked darker side of streaming and how difficult and draining it can be. The music and visuals were simple but effective enough, and I appreciate how the game was fully voice acted. I wish the player's choices mattered a bit more, though. Since it's free, I'd recommend it if you're looking for a mildly creepy visual novel to fill a bit of time.

A short and easy horror game. There isn't much to do though. The achievements are mostly easy, though i think i got stuck on one for a while. While it is simple and the graphics is pixelated 2d, it is still nice and fun to play.

This lil VN had a friend & I debating who the REAL streamer was after I released this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0FJCOKtD1r4 I think this is the 1st game that's ever inspired an offline convo about what was REALLY going on in the story. Very interesting. There are subtle things in the storyline & about the characters that make an observant player/viewer ask some questions. It's short & sweet & made me think a lil, I definitely recommend. Love the art style! Thank you for the VA! It was well done. I dunno if I wish it was all VA or if I appreciate having to read some lines myself. Probably the latter. Coincidently the game was updated shortly after I played it so I will have to return sometime & check out the update. Shows up as a perfect game when all achievements are received. Thanks for the FTP game.

Lesson learned: don't become a Vtuber.

nice short game about an obsessive fan with a streamer, would love if it had a bit more length but it was still amazing and the minigames were super fun too! overall: recommended!
