Agent A was never going to be a particularly complex or sophisticated game. That much was clear from the demo. Regardless, I thought it would be some good, old-fashioned mindless entertainment. Unfortunately, as low as this bar might sound, Agent A does not clear it. Firstly, the writing in the narration is horrendous. There are constant missing periods or other punctuation at the end of sentences. Worse, there are many comma splices. In the context of informal dialogue, this might have been acceptable were they infrequent, but in Agent A, they are far too noticeable. Aside from grammar, Agent A's running commentary detracts from the rest of the game. I expected silliness, but Agent A just sounds condescending in telling Ruby to get a bottle of Dom Pérignon ready or remarking that she should have gotten her bullet vest. Agent A brags about being a super spy, yet says, "Ugh no way I'm swimming in there, you know fish pee in the ocean right!?" Less importantly, there is far too much backtracking in the last 2-3 chapters, and the camera movement is distracting. Some of the inventory puzzles are odd: I suppose reducing inventory makes the game easier and limits what players can attem…

Agent A is a really well-crafted narrative driven puzzle game that I very much enjoyed playing. The plot has the perfect blend of James Bond-esque spy story with the chique humour of The Man from UNCLE. The achievements add replayability value, making blind playthrough even more enjoyable. Overall a highly reccomended game. ⭐ 4.9/5

I got it for $2 on sale. S'good. It's short of the dream of something like Riven (remastered) or The Room by a long way, but it's simple and it's stylish with 60s camp like the Adam West Batman series. Gird yourself for a trite delight.

Pretty fun point and click puzzle game! The artstyle is pleasent and the writing is charming enough to get a chuckle out of you pretty often. There aren't many logic based puzzles, but the ones that are there are pretty fun.

A great little puzzle game with some nice touches of humour. Some games make the puzzles too illogical but with this one I would say they got it just right so it was really enjoyable. Nice one.

Great game with engaging puzzles. Puzzles were challenging enough to be interesting, but didnt have too much absurd logic in them
