very slow start, first 5-6 missions are tutorials, after that you get to see all future upgrades and modifications, there's quite more than i expected but not that much for more than maybe 10 hours of gameplay.... a lot of reviews complaining about the timer, but thats parts of the mechanics, you learn how to drive, then u have to drive FAST, against the clock, if there wasnt a timer, the game would be a slow crawl to get everything on the map then leave... this way u have to make tough choices, do i get the data? or do i get the suplies? you cant get both (mostly)... later on you have ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ upgrades to speed, cargo, energy, etc, so it balances out fairly quickly.... you also get upgrades for the ship, that let you stay longer in an area..... just in case, beware CONTROLS ARE HARD, you have to drive a drone in 3D space, it's like kerbal space program on crack, you have to not crash and u have to do it fast. story is nice and managed to make me care about my colonists, but after a few hours i noticed how colonists are just a metric to know if u failed the game (0 colonists == gameover), that's all the interaction you get with them.... overall it's a pretty immersive ga…

I held off on this game for a long time, based on the mixed reviews. I regret not getting it sooner. There's a bit of a learning curve on the controls, but once you get the hang of it, it's both a relaxing arcade game, a planning/colony sim, a time-trial resource collection..... and I haven't even unlocked more than one tech level out of 9. If you like the Bobiverse books this is Bob 1.0 the game.

A little repetitive but definitely fun for fans of the space SIM genre. I would probably wait until it's on sale though :)

Yes, it's repetitive. Yes, it's “easy”. Yes, it's not so challenging. Yes, it's pretty straightforward, linear, “from A to B” etc. But a huge BUT: This is how you should make games when "riding" something technological and I see that more and more games try to adapt to this technique where "your" joystick controls another joystick. I love the constructor panel, the simplicity of upgrading, visualization and "feel" of what you are going to control later. This is how you should make VR constructors. I must be able to see and manipulate in 3D anything that I will be using, imagine a sword forging, you will spin the iron bar it at your will, that's how you make a sword. It will definitly frustrate you if instead that, you'll be promt to an cheap gui "check" option (of course depending of the purpose of the game). Main cons (IMO): - Game actually is really short as if it was barely a tech demo or just a demo, very grindy itself. - Camera handling could be much, much better. Maybe an option to "lock or follow" would be nice. - In game ghost controllers could be better, maybe replaced with more techie "physical" ones or joysticks. - Mission timer really has to be gone, it even lacks an…
