What Steam players say

A solid sci-fi tower defense game that captures the charm of Kingdom Rush with engaging tower mechanics and an enjoyable sci-fi setting. Players praise its strategy depth and value for the price, though some criticize the steep difficulty curve early on, expensive upgrades, and occasional frustrating moments where enemies slip through by narrow margins. The game appeals most to experienced tower defense fans willing to learn its systems, though newcomers may find it punishingly difficult without clear progression paths.
Симпатичный Tower-Defense в духе Kingdom Rush, но с меньшим количеством контента. По скидке взять можно. 7/101 found this helpful
One of the more pleasant Kingdom Rush clones. In fact, I love it more than the original one. For me, ARM is a genius level game, beautiful, smart, deep, engaging. Look at my play time - I've beaten this game on every new computer, I completed it like five times, all in all. Simply genius. I was there, on that far away planet, helping small bug-eyed aliens to turn the tide against the robot horde. These were my guys - marines, rangers, snipers... And, you know, 'uplink established' is a coolest tower ever. This game obviously has faults, but I am ready to forgive every one of them. Must have for tower defense players who like sci-fi.
I love good strategy games. Two of my favorites are Defense Grid and Bloons. Kingdom Rush is also excellent. For me, a good strategy game is challenging, but not overwhelming. It let's you win a little but also makes you learn. Most importantly, you should be able to learn and in learning, succeed. That's what makes it fun. And to do that, the game design has to feature consistent game play as well as a learnable upgrade path. Upgrades should be consistent. logical and learnable. There should be some essential information about defenses and enemies that let's you try strategies. I don't feel like this game offers that. Not only are some of the early levels very difficult, but I'm clueless how to win. How do I defeat the swarm of flying robots? More soldiers? More electro-towers? More snipers? For me, this game just became a trial and error that soon became both frustrating and rewarding. On the plus side, nice graphics and animations.
The game provides weak upgrades, with a high price for those upgrades. If you can't get through a level, you have no way to increase your level. Hordes of enemies are coming out and your weapons are weak and upgrades are too expensive. It's just another game where the creator thinks that making it too difficult means some quality. It seems to me that everyone who praises this game has played it up to the third level, or they are masochists. So often there is no point in reading reviews.
The sci-fi military setting is great and the towers are great fun to use and upgrade. However, I refuse to take responsibility for the unholy TD design philosophy that got popular thanks to Kingdom Rush, where enemies are always one single tiny bullet away from slipping by... a 3-star run ruined because your infantry was standing one inch too far on the side or something, I'm sure all TD players experience those moments. A flying unit slipping by with 1hp, stuff like that. And then you have to do the whole mission over again. ARM has several chapters and is great fun until the swamp. Is this a great TD, especially for the price? Absolutely. It would be wrong not to recommend it. Will I ever bow my head and blame myself for barely leaking that one unit during that one wave? No. The game designers are wrong.
One of the best Tower Defense games around. Highly recommended for any fan of TDs.
