Strategy shifts with the upgrades you randomly get to select. I like the gem system for overall upgrades. Good stuff.2 found this helpful
Angles of Death is a top-down action title developed and published by Big Stav Studios, designed around fast reflexes, upgrade-driven progression, and replayable combat encounters. It embraces a minimalist yet intense structure, dropping players into arenas where survival depends on precise movement, situational awareness, and smart build decisions. Rather than presenting a sprawling narrative campaign, the game focuses on pure gameplay momentum, offering a loop that is easy to understand but challenging to master. At its core, Angles of Death revolves around real-time combat against waves of increasingly aggressive enemies. The action unfolds from a top-down perspective, emphasizing positioning and dodging as much as offensive capability. Enemies attack in patterns that require careful observation, and later encounters introduce bosses with more complex behaviors that test reaction speed and adaptability. This game is pretty simple to play, but has a surprisingly large number of special attacks and weapons and various upgrade paths and after a few hours of play I think they're pretty well balanced. The dev is pretty responsive to feedback. Overall, I'd recommend this game, especially given the price point. I've certainly spent significantly more money and significantly worse games over the years and I'm glad I picked this one up.1 found this helpful
If Asteroids had a baby with a caffeine overdose, that baby would be Angles of Death. It's fast-paced, it's flashy, and it made me cry a little (twice). Every round starts with "I got this," and ends with "WHAT SADIST CREATED THIS??" Upgrades are plentiful, like the game's trying to bribe you to keep going. "Hey, sorry about last round, here's a new laser." Thanks, game. I forgive you. Mostly. Verdict: It’s retro panic with modern bells and whistles. Play it if you want your reflexes tested and your soul slightly rattled.1 found this helpful
good game!
a high pace, panic inducing, fun game. You have to use the money you earn to increase your stats all while trying to avoid getting hit by the enemy. If you have a strong ticker you can definitely get through the first 8 waves, as long as you have it on the easy setting....good luck.
