This was a very fun game, with a twist of metroidvania and soulslike that is a very cool concept. My main problem lies with the story. For the most part you have this medieval setting with magic and knights and all that great jazz. But out of nowhere it throws you into this technologically advanced Terminator zone that feels extremely disconnected to the rest of the game. As the story progresses, it keeps the same tone of defeating this eldritch evil, but it'll randomly sprinkle in the technology element, making it feel completely out of place to what's happening. Hell, the final boss reads out your computer's name and everything. Great game, the story just started to interest me less and less the further I went on.

i [b]L O V E[/b] the story, the designs, and the variety of playstyles, very few 2D games bring such an ammount of variety as good and reliable like this one. The soundtrack is just amazing, pure art. You don't need to be an expert on platform games to play it except for [spoiler]1 small part of the dlc that you can totally ignore[/spoiler]. It does have a few small bugs, [u]don't drop feathers form your inventory cuz they will dissappear[/u]. Some are old bugs were brought back with the latest patches and the DLC, 2 map designs were cut in like 1/3 of what they used to be to the point that it was excessive and unnecessary. Nothing gamebreaking that i've encountered. FYI ---> You might want to lower the music volume if you are listening to the voice acting x'D [i]~ Just a little piece of [u]my experience[/u] and knowledge about this game development: I remember when the last patches of Death's Gambit and this DLC came to be, i couldn't be happier... untill later in the years i tried them. It's just that some things got worse and very very few better. Item descriptions in most translations are bugged the heals got wrecked because of the DLC exclusively... that was a really b…
Oh boy, I love this game! I wasn't expecting anything special, but it completely surprised me. I love the world, the music, the lore, THE HUMOR(!) It's a great metroidvania that's quite challenging without feeling unfair. Highly recommended!
