This is some jank. "Put this code into your notepad app!" use it onthis date in your cheat menu!" WHAT?? But Also "Sorry alt-tabbing breaks the game! We didn't know about it haha isn't that weird? He'res an ingame link to a Reddit thread about how hard app development is!" Never in my life Games like this make me want to make games.5 found this helpful
I'm getting everything out of this game that I had hoped I would get out of Starfield. Unlike that game, here the things that are abstracted and gamified are really tastefully chosen, and the actually enjoyable parts of the space captain fantasy are elevated. The world feels open, endless, and mysterious, without actually being aimless, bland, and opaque. Ship customization is fun, with lots of opportunities to tailor your vessel to a particular playstyle without getting lost in a sea of choices. This really feels like a game that was created by someone with a great eye for what the game needs in order to sell the fantasy and what would only be excess friction.4 found this helpful
Pretty fun, it is a very deep system compared to what is initially experienced.1 found this helpful
It's exactly what it says on the tin: expansive space roguelike made with a lot of love and a little jank. It's certainly fun to just... exist. Warp to new place, explore some planets, discover a new quest ... oh, the planet is speaking to me? Oh, there's cultists on this secret area? Oh, a rapidly spreading alien plant .... dead. Just a constant barrage of new surprises, at least so far. Very much gives the feel of being in your own (micro) space epic.
Dev, if you are reading this, add a workshop. I think it would make this game go from an 8/10 to a 10/10 :)
This game was pretty good! It kept me entertained to the end.
