Arctic alive

Russian games; i would say the most interesting bunch when it comes  to video games.  You never know what exactly they will do and when they do it, it feels unnatural to any game you have played before. They have questionable gameplay but really immersive atmospheres and worlds along with music that fits the mood. Arctic Alive is unfortunate, a Blender engine type of game.  A "binary" survival "stealth" horror.   which means sadly(for this case) no options. You can't lower or disable the music(a key point later) or adjust any other meaningful settings. Not only that, but you can't rearrange your infinite inventory. In my case, the game can't be played from Steam due perhaps my GPU. The game has a white screen and i can't see anything despite the game playing normally.  i have used UPBGE to play the game and that app presents a problem of not following the game's logic right. That means some areas to me are impossible due crashing when i enter them and enemies thankfully, can't chase you. And some other problems. What i have seen from playing this  minimalistic type of game is its impressive immersion potential, the location and the music. Without these annoying enemies, the game …

Some kind of tutorial would have been nice.

A very strange survival horror game. You play as a girl trapped in an Arctic base with shadow men who can kill you instantly. You also have to manage your hunger, thirst, and even wash your clothes. The game and its mechanics seem more complicated than they actually are at first; after a few hours of gameplay, you'll just have to stock up on everything you need to survive without any problems. The game simply expects you to play in a specific way, like the annoying enemies that you can only kill by approaching them from behind with an axe. I didn't notice any bugs or anything weird; it's a pretty solid offering, which is appreciated in this type of indie game. Honestly, something compelled me to play it from beginning to end, so I have to say it has some qualities and cult classic charm despite its low-budget nature. Recommended for hardcore fans of the genre.
