What Steam players say

I don't leave many reviews for games, but I feel that I owe this one to the dev. I had an issue playing on Steam Deck, and very quickly after reporting it in the discussions, the dev got back to me. After a few messages for more information, the issue was fixed. It says a lot when a dev is willing to interact with you personally to solve an issue. About Baenana itself, it is a most definitely a wave-based bullet heaven along the lines of Brotato, and that isn't a bad thing! Baenana performs well, even with a great many enemies on screen, and is always crisp and clear, even on the small screen of the Steam Deck (and my poor, old eyes!) To give some suggestions, I think that the feedback when you get hit should be clearer. You do flash red, but sometimes I miss this and don't realise I've lost health. I'd also like to see some variety in the backgrounds. All told, I look forward to seeing how Baenana develops over the early access period, and recommend it to others like me who love bullet heaven games and are looking for something outside of the bigger titles.1 found this helpful
