About Ball Drop
Ball Drop is a single-player puzzle platformer game. Made up of fast-pased action. The ball rolls down using gravity and you must use the mouse to move platforms to guide the ball to the goal line. Can you use the platforms and broken cogs to get the ball to it's destination? I certainly hope so! The objects in the game rotate following the mouse and you can use them to solve puzzles and navigate around hazzards. On the menu screen is the list of levels which are not level-locked, so players can navigate to whatever level they're interested in. The game is relatively short, 8 levels, taking about an hour to beat. The game is set with a minimalist gear and cog asthetic. There are no items or levling-ups, just simple puzzle solving.

"Ball Drop" is yet another vacuous high school project tier amateur game, one of those falling marble physics games where you have to muck around with your iPhone to get the ball to fall in the right spot. Except somehow this is on Steam and not the app stores, I guess by mistake. There is a gimmick here that involves the obstacles interacting with the mouse, but that was not the revolution (geddit) that this simplistic mobile/Flash tier genre needed. The graphics in this game are really quite good, which at least makes the game look more appealing. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. To be worth a gamers time, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. …2 found this helpful
Took about 45 minutes to beat. As others have said, the controls are fairly wonky - you sort of have to imagine an invisible circular track upon which everything is based, but your distance from the track also matters...I think. Either way, its a fairly fun game. I almost wish it were a bit longer.2 found this helpful
It's not even a ball. It's a gear. It's a damn gear.1 found this helpful
The controls are janky and the game is glitchy as hell. Its not fun. I do not recommend.
makes me think of the sword of warning. there will be traps ahead, i warned you! ironically, you need to tip over every obolix. the start looks like oogwey. i played cluster truck while trying levels, because that's a need for this game. music. absurd music yes. I'd pay like 2.65 for this plus 1 glave of stabbing into my endurance and mental fortitude. highly recommend.
