Battle Ball

How does this have zero reviews?! A short, simple, and snacky sports-like experience. Plays kind of like a rules-lite version of rugby. Reminds me very much of P.U.L.P. (a deep cut for any fans of the PS2 era), and I mean that as a compliment. The UI is janky, a tutorial would be nice, and the framerate/performance really isn't doing it any favors. However, my 12 minutes (at time of review) included 3 quick matches, and I won the last 2 after I more or less figured out what I was doing & what the game expected from me. If by some miracle the dev is still developing this and looking for feedback, here's what I'd suggest: - Put scores & the time clock on the screen somewhere - Make a tutorial. I would have loved to know how jukes & wallruns are supposed to work. - Being able to "exit to main menu" from quick play mode seems like a no-brainer, with all due respect. - You could probably get the framerate up to 60 FPS by de-loading or getting rid of the over-elaborate arena exterior. Maybe, I dunno. Either way if there's any way to tweak the performance that'd really make this a winner. All in all, I kept my expectations low and was not disappointed.
