This game is... bad. No strategy, no challenge. You can just put down any troop type, then click on the abilities on cooldown, and you'll win every time. The positive comments are all very obviously purchased and unrelated to the game. Not even worth the 2$ price tag.

Botted reviews. There isn't even a game here. You need ~40-45 minutes to play the entire game, which is just spamming 1 formation every stage and winning. Stay away.
Warning: AI Slop This game is partially or completely made with talentless, soulless AI generated content.
Battle Synth is a "template" flip/kitbash, and not a properly developed game. The "developer" filled out a basic template in the craptastic GameMaker Studio (a blight on gaming), changed the name/reskinned a couple of things with AI slop, and put it on Steam as if it was their own game. Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. The controls can't be customised because the game has such a dumbed down, simplified interface that it's just point and click stuff like a browser/Flash game. The fact that the interface is this dumbed down might be seen as a problem in itself, however... this is a fairly shallow experience if you're…

A fun game in which we have to manage an army of various heroes and watch battles with deadly enemies, and victory will depend on our tactical thinking and ability to predict the actions of the enemy. Nice graphics and a fun soundtrack will add fun to our stay in the game.

Battle Synth, developed and published by Cow Games, is a compact tactical auto-battler that centers its entire design around preparation rather than execution. Instead of controlling units in real time, players are tasked with assembling a formation, choosing the right mix of units, and then watching the outcome unfold automatically. This approach shifts the focus entirely onto planning and prediction, creating a strategy experience that is easy to understand but more limited in how far it can evolve. The core loop is built on placing units across a battlefield grid, selecting from a roster of fantasy archetypes such as melee fighters, ranged attackers, and support units. Each type fulfills a clear role, and their interactions form the backbone of the game’s tactical layer. Positioning is critical—placing a fragile unit too far forward can lead to immediate failure, while a well-structured formation can allow weaker units to survive long enough to contribute meaningfully. Once the battle begins, however, player input stops entirely, turning each encounter into a test of whether the preparation was sound. Early on, this system works surprisingly well. Experimentation is encouraged…
