Worth playing at sale price. A very simple yet reasonably fun & strategic roguelite with FPS-ish gameplay. Zero fluff in this game, no story, no NPCs, no lore, you just start a run and runs last ~15 minutes at most. Your health constantly drains in runs and is refilled via killing, forcing a fast-paced and aggressive playstyle that suits the game well. You use two weapons at once that use a stamina system, again forcing more strategic play rather than just holding the fire button, & there's a mechanic of building up a transformation that lets you enter a powerful beast form that in turn builds up an ascended form with infinite stamina. There's also light RPG mechanics with you spending gold between stages to upgrade your weapons or stats, with the 3 playable classes having mostly unique stats to level. The game is decently fun but once you get to grips with the unique playstyle, it isn't particularly challenging until the highest levels of difficulty (the game features 5 ascension-esque difficulties) On the downside, the weapons are not very well balanced, same goes for the stats, and the game also has a noticeable stutter at the beginning of every stage as it loads the enemies,…

This game is an absolute adrenaline rush of a rogue-lite that makes you feel genuinely unstoppable. The fast-paced, first-person combat is incredibly visceral, especially when you string together kills to transform into a monstrous beast and rip through fantasy hordes. It perfectly captures that chaotic, high-energy flow state where you are constantly punching, shooting, and dashing through levels without ever stopping to breathe. If you want a quick, brutal game that lets you turn your brain off and just smash things, this is it.
