Great game to play if you like side scrolling platformers with plenty of action and monster beating. Similar to Strider, platforming is varied and smooth movement is more than enough to recommend this one.
This game is significantly better than it has any right to be. One of my favorite hidden gems on Steam, in the world of action platformers. Make sure to get the complete pack, story is not complete without the DLC chapter.

The gameplay is simple but lacks depth, Kit the protagonist regenerates health too quickly yet has so little max health that fights rarely feel threatening, by the time you make more than a few mistakes whoops she's already out of health and you're back to the last checkpoint. This "COD regeneration" kind of lessens the impact of fights and honestly the general believeability of the character. I can respect the overall design, they even have a click to move function which is not a staple for action/platformers at the time of its release. A fair amount of games were more "hardcore" in 2010, so that differing perspective - to make something casual players can pick up easier - makes it commendable. Which brings me to my next issue... I just wish some things were more customizable like the behaviour of the camera. It feels nauseating sometimes, which is probably why I dropped it a few years ago (got older, tried it again recently, the camera made me feel uneasy). The game would play so much better if the camera smoothing effect literally wasn't there and it just fixated on the character.
