well it looked like fun and is free to play so i gave it a shot. the game is buggy and sloppy programmed. the resolution of my 21:9 widescreen cant be given right despite it beeing in the settings. so i cant see the texts. the "spells" are getting worse for example the third spall is utterly useless. i bugged out while blood diving behind a bar and had to restart the game also it is hard to see where u can go and where u just fall to your death. sound is okeeey but not great and also behind a few sound files for attacks there is no mutch sound atr all. seems to me like a first try of some dev for fun? in that case he could be proud of his work but he should stated that this game is open alpha or something. as the game is, i can not recommend it.

"Blood Magic" is an extraordinarily bad Diablo ripoff that feels more like a weekend project than a real game... there's not much to do apart from a gimmick in the one kind of character you can play using "blood magic" (which a lot of games have already done, but much better, and those games weren't a one trick pony). The overall technical delivery is amazingly weak, which is why this was such a big failure. This comes across as something unambitious and "simple" in terms of implementation and technical quality and depth, more like a game dev tutorial or an experiment. It’s a classic case of a developer prioritizing the low effort needed to get a game listed on Steam over the actual delivery of a technically sound or compelling product. Whatever is needed to hammer out something "good" enough for Steam Direct self-publishing. On the topic of visuals, the weak looking 2D retro assets seem like they'd be more at home in a browser game or a mobile app. 3D graphics accelerators hit the mainstream of PC gaming in the mid 1990's with cards like the ATI Rage and Voodoo3D, there's no excuse for such poor 2D graphics in 2025. I'm the kinda guy who always picks the "health as mana"-class given the chance. Thanks for making a game just for me! It's an adorable little demo with great ideas, amazing world and a lot of room to grow. I'd love to see continuation of this in a full length (and price) indie game. PS. Playing with an ultrawide monitor breaks the UI. If you're reading this before playing, use the equivalent 16:9 resolution. PPS. I asked my wife if this is what it feels like to be on period. Apparently the game isn't hard enough.
