Players appreciate the game's charming indie aesthetic, intriguing story setup, and decent visuals, with some finding the deliberate combat weight fitting for the protagonist. However, common complaints center on clunky combat that struggles against groups, poor voice acting especially from the main character, rigid control schemes that don't allow customization, and the overuse of yellow paint for navigation.
I don't know what it is about this game. It's a little janky, but in such a charming way. Like, you know it's an indie, and that's sort of beloved to me. Other reviews say the combat is clunky, but I sort of feel like it fits well for our protag - he's a dude with a bigger body, not a ninja, so he shouldn't really be super fluid, if that makes sense. I haven't gotten deep at all into the story, but I was certainly intrigued quite quickly on. I'll be playing more for sure.6 found this helpful

Highly underrated game! Lovely RPG that reminded me a lot of God of War mixed with Assassin's Creed and Prince of Persia. The story was emotional enough without being too complicated and the combat, though "clunky" felt quite rewarding to play. The visuals were beautiful and lighting made for good atmosphere in all the different locations. This is a game that went on longer than I expected, but I'm not mad about that because I enjoyed playing it. If you're a fan of early 2010 RPGs, you will appreciate this game. The game had such promise. But dont force players to use WASD for movement. Not everybody uses that and we should be able to choose our movement keys. That combined with the combat keys made it difficult to play effectively.2 found this helpful

+ Graphics looks decent. - Clunky combat system which is not suited for group encounters (you will constantly face large groups of enemies). - Absolutely horrid voice acting for the most part. Especially the main character sounds like his voice actor is falling asleep. - Yellow paint.
