As a game with very similar style to EoSD, Touhou Sukaen carries on the tradition of the Touhou Project series.Thus what you should keep in mind is focusing on evading the bullets ahead.
During the playtime, we just need to enjoy the enjoyment of shooting and evading bullets. Although this game has its own unique system for gameplay, it's easy for everyone who plays this game to grasp. Even though you haven't grasped the system, you can also evade the bullets ahead with your own strength. When you perfectly grasp the key point of it, you can take advantage of it then carry out marvelous and splendid operations!
All in all, it's an easy-to-start STG for green hands. Meanwhile, it's still stimulative and intense for advanced players!

This game has some really strong high points. The final boss mechanics are really clever and a lot of fun to figure out, the system mechanics are also quite fun. Thinking of the final boss it seems that more could have been done with the stages and the system mechanics, as a lot of the stages and dankamu just feel very basic or samey, but that seems to be a common theme in Touhou inspired games. But as I said, the high points of the game are really good so I think it is worth recommending to danmaku fans, especially those who like Touhou shmups. As a added note, the game has big performance issues on Linux by default. In order to fix it you need to disable DXVK by launching the game with PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command% launch command. Then the framerate is stable but the loading screens take a long time for some reason.2 found this helpful

hands down the best touhou game on steam imo aside from the other one these same devs made. 100% worth it
This made me really appreciate how some fans understand how the spells themselves are like a moving art piece on its own, and representing a character. It's also really corny once you think of it like that because some of the characters are really ostentatious in this. And I have never seen a game fanwank Remilia and the Mansion so hard, I actually had a really good laugh over it. It's downright comical how unashamedly the devs of this just love the character.
