Overall I enjoyed my time with the game. It is most similar to Microsoft Combat Flight Sim from 1999. It's in an odd place where the physics are shooting are hardcore but everything else is casual. Everyone who compared it to Crimson Skies set themselves up for disappointment - it's not that. The difficulty ramps up towards the end but the missions are beatable. There were two game breaking bugs that involved invisible planes and weapons not working properly. I got around them but I don't know if they will ever be fixed since it's ooooold. I used a logitech precision pro so that's what I would recommend.1 found this helpful
If you want to play this game, you need to follow these instructions: -Don't play it on easy; this setting was added later, so it has bugs. Besides, the game is not hard at all. -If you still have issues, lower your graphics settings. -Enjoy the game; it is fun, and I feel it is worth it.
This pains me to do, but I feel I must warn everyone: the game has bugs, freezes, and crashes. It was fun, but once I started the mission 'Invasion,' the game freezes during the cut scenes. I have requested a refund, but until they fix these issues, I can't recommend this game.

I wish there was a reboot to Crimson Skies. I wanted to play this game hoping it would scratch that itch, but it would not allow me to bind primary pitch, roll, and yaw from my VKB stick, so I had to return it before I ever got to play it.
This game has been created by a team of only 2 people and is amazing, for me, this game is really a big "YES" ! The graphics are pretty, the comments make me laugh, and the dogfights are fun and not that difficult, but you have to get a bit equipped to take fully advantage of the game, a joystick, even a cheap one, is quite compulsory, and a track ir is nice to have, to follow ennemy paths. this game is not acardy, meaning you don't shoot 40 ennemy aircraft every minute, rather it is a good small dogfighting game where the physics is decent. If, like me, you are lost in DCS or another realistic combat simulator, because you cannot play every day and is too complex, this game is a good and simple alternative for fun, only costing a couple of euros. Beside the campaign of 17 missions, there is also a skirmish mode, and a few single missions. There is a multiplayer mode as well, but I haven't tried, and you have to find players to fight with. The misson editor is a bit broken for the time being, but you can copy and edit files in Xml and Lua to create your own missions, with ennemy aircrafts, boats, vehicles, and buildings. Support is very responsive even 5 years after this game has …
