About BoyandBox
Boyandbox is a skill based puzzle platformer where you use a teleporting box to solve problems. The box can be used both as a platform for you to jump off of, as well as a shield to protect you from enemies. The game requires skill and precision. However, most of the levels have multiple solutions and the game always lets you take a step back to figure out the most optimal path.
Features
- Over 50 unique and challenging levels.
- 6 different areas, each with their own soundtrack.
- Blue blobs.
- Red blobs.
- A boy.

Ok right away, this game has a cool concept. It starts out great! However the last half of the game pretty much requires you to have lightning reflexes... Which I don't have. I ended up skipping a good chunk of the last levels because I ended up getting really frustrated. The thing is play games to have fun not frustration. The enemies are the worst part of this game by far. Having to guide a slime while also placing boxes where you are is not fun. BUT the bird creatures are the absolute worst. It's basically a thwomp but it travels at the speed of sound. I found it to be nearly impossible to bait it into dropping without dying. Look the idea of this game is cool, but it leans way more towards precision platforming than regular platforming. But It's worth a try since it's free. EDIT: Alright.. ♥♥♥♥ this game. This final boss is ♥♥♥♥. I finally after about an hour I managed to "beat" the boss and then it ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ came back to life but harder.... Ok no more mr nice guy. I was avoiding saying some of my opinions on this game initially, but no more! If this game cost money I would have refunded it. I will not complete this game because I already spent way to much time trying to beat th…2 found this helpful
It's a really challenging and an unique game, but personally I had to give up at the 23th level... don't see a chance how to solve that part. I don't understand one of the reviews here, which is trying to tell us that this game wouldn't be anything special, because the idea of using your mouse for placing a box and your keyboard at the same time for jumping and walking is very unusual. So if you are up for a challenge and want a free game, then go for it! And my respect to all of the people who actually managed to beat this game without dying a single time!1 found this helpful
This game is sooooo frustrating, it's difficult! But I still enjoyed playing it. Hahaha. You're a boy and you use the box to navigate your way through the game. I keep on dying--- I swear urgh!!! >< I probably won't be playing it every week for my own sake though. Maybe just once in a while.
I think BoyandBox is a very difficult platformer that spikes in difficulty over the course of the game, and the final levels we're really hard. The boss at the end of the game is the final test that shows if you are worthy enough to beat the game, and it took me so many hours to beat, but the sense of reward you get from beating it and other levels makes this game really good even though it may be really hard sometimes with its controls, and unique mechanics. Great Game 10/10
