BROKEN LIFE is an atmospheric, fully voiced Point-and-Click Adventure set in a world torn by war. At the heart of this story is Leo, a former soldier returning to his recently liberated hometown. Leo's journey is one of loneliness, exhaustion, and the lingering scars of war. He needs to restore his broken life, cope with his grief, and uncover the fate of his family during the occupation. But what seems clear and simple at first quickly reveals itself as an illusion. The house hides many dark and mysterious secrets… As a solo indie developer from Ukraine, I’ve drawn from my own experiences of living through war to create this narrative. Join Leo on his journey through dark and atmospheric 2D environments, solving puzzles intricately woven into a story filled with tension and emotion.

The first chapter of a story about war, loss, memory and family. The main character is completely alone and returning to the eerie remains of his neighbourhood. His memories of time with his family before the war contrast with his ruined home after the war. Invaders have been living in the family's home and dark things have happened. The tone is low-key, and honest. Find keys to enter various rooms in the house and solve point and click type puzzles. This is not really just a game, it's an expression of what it is like to live in a war zone, survive and hope to rebuild. Looking forward to the next chapters, if it is possible, given the continuing situation in Ukraine.4 found this helpful
[b]BROKEN LIFE[/b] (Chapter 1 of 3) does an excellent job creating a bleak, oppressive atmosphere in a war-torn setting. The environmental storytelling pulled me in, and the mini-games were surprisingly well-designed; they felt integrated rather than tacked on. Backtracking was minimal compared to most Point & Click games, which I appreciated. The voice acting lacks emotional range and feels flat even in tense moments, but I still preferred it to pure text. There are some grammar and spelling errors, though that's understandable in Early Access. But the story and atmosphere really carry this chapter. [spoiler]The flashback sequences effectively build the protagonist's backstory and family dynamics[/spoiler], giving real weight to the present-day struggles. Worth it at the sale price. Looking forward to seeing chapters 2 and 3 because the foundation here is solid and I'm invested in where the story goes. 7/10 - Recommended for P&C fans who appreciate atmosphere and don't mind some rough edges.2 found this helpful

So far it's only one playable chapter yet, but I do have a nice, first impression of this game here. It's not just a casual click and point game, there are puzzles available too here (no, I don't mean just interacting two objects together, etc). The first chapter at least isn't really hard to beat and I'm looking forward to find out, what's going ot happen to the cat-hero next!
