The game is currently unplayable as there is a glitch with the fire station and architect's building not accepting any workers, which means that you cannot make any serious progress in the game since these essential buildings are not functioning properly - all your buildings either burn down or collapse with no way of prevening or fixing them. Looks like the devs have not addressed this issue since it was first raised in Sep 2025 following an update (based on forum posts) and the roads are bugged4 found this helpful
I am so glad i bought this on serious discount 3 days ago!!!! At first, it looked great, there's actual mission goals, sweet. Some people that need help and stuff, nice. BUT............. It started with the firehouses not even working. Forum: ah, ok, there's another way, just download a third party app and set it to no fires, no collapses and no sick people. Mission 2 therefor, went great, on to mission 3. And there is another bug. You cant for the life of you, connect a farm with the road. At one point, i had the whole area covered with roads, to just see if it could connect somewhere along the line. NOPE. It's keeps finding obstacles and no way what so ever, to get the farm tutorial done, so you are as stuck as stuck can be. There is NO reply what so ever, from the publisher or devs on the forum. And from what i read, it started almost at the end of 2025, with an update gone wrong.4 found this helpful
It was on sale and I loved the predecessors this game was built on. However, on the first mission you start finding the bugs that are game-breaking. I was hoping that the bugs were more annoying than game breaking but that was not the case. Hopefully Steam removes this game so nobody wastes time or money on it.2 found this helpful
Lots of bug. can't play.
I love playing Builders of Egypt...I can't play it enough. I think they have done a fantastic job. The only negative is in the Sandbox mode, I can't connect my crops to my workers by placing a road...I've tried everything. If anyone know how it's done, please let me know. Thank you for creating this game.
The game is broken in its current state. There hasn't been an update going on 8 months. If this game isn't officially abandoned, it's certainly dying an agonizing, slow death. Game-breaking bugs continue to not be addressed. I played and loved the prologue in early access. Purchased and forgot about it. Tried to pick it back up and it's gone downhill. Cannot recommend purchase unless the developer wakes up and decides to earn the money they made from everyone that paid for a fully-functioning game.
