This game is confusing, and perhaps confused. It has the feeling of wanting to be a stealth shooter, but it isn't. It wants to auto lock on things, but it also wants you to do it manually. It wants you to play it like a twin stick shooter, but the controls feel stiff. There is also inconsistencies with how enemies work. There are enemies that aren't bullet sponges. They are just anti bullet. Level design is good. However, some things about it make no logical sense. Example being the ability to see through walls. Hearing through them I can accept. But I can see through them, and so can the enemies. How and why? I do like that there are no true dead ends in the game that can cause you to be trapped outright. There are single door rooms, but they do feel like they have a tactical reasoning to them. Overall, I want to recommend this game, but the consistency issues, and the odd controls make this a hard one to say "Yes" to. The price is not too much, and could be a solid yes for some folks, as there is something here, Since the game is presented as a complete experience, I don't see much change to come to the game revisiting the issues described.5 found this helpful
A fun top-down shooter that houses an arcade mode, leaderboards, and speed run modes. It has a great soundtrack which is a necessity for these kind of games. Four different protagonists and character special abilities make this game a little bit different than the ones that you've probably played before. Voice actings a little ham and cheese, but nice to have over games in this genre I've played before. Only Cons I can see right now are character movement. It doesn't feel as fluid as games I've played before, and the delay in swapping to melee weapon to equipped gun. Kept wanting more with each level, Love the Roadmap!2 found this helpful
Bullet Noir 1.0 is a stylish, brutally precise twin-stick shooter where one-shot kills apply on both sides. The 35-level campaign lands with a final chapter, and Arcade and Speedrun modes with leaderboards make it easy to lose hours chasing cleaner routes and bigger combos. When it clicks, it really clicks. The gritty-noir presentation sells the vibe, the soundtrack keeps your pulse up, and the four playable heroes feel distinct enough to change how you approach each map. I gravitated to The Lady; her fast melee and passive ability helped me keep long strings alive. Shotgun-through-doors moments and well-timed slow-mo chains are pure dopamine. It is not all smooth. Lock-on can be finicky, and on a controller the reticle sits farther from your character than I would like. That makes snap targets tougher than they should be, and occasional hit or collision oddities add to the frustration. The melee to gun swap has a small delay that can cost a run, and darker maps sometimes hide enemies more than they should. There are no checkpoints, so small mistakes can mean full restarts. Steam Deck ran beautifully for me with stable performance and no stutter. I actually preferred the D…1 found this helpful
8/10 Really love the story and graphics! Game controls were... not the best. IM NOT good at wasd, so trying to do it on controller wasn't the hardest but i could see how improvements need to be made, esp with the rotating aiming. All in ALL if you can wasd GET IT. This game is fun! Hope they can optimize controller for it!1 found this helpful
