About BULLET SOUL INFINITE BURST
Bullet Soul is back with a new recipe: Burst! The same aggressive, bullet-cancelling gameplay, flashy pyrotechnics and addictive action, but now with refined level design, more modes and more destruction! Shooting fans of all abilities, it's time to welcome back the true spirit of Japanese shooting games!
Gameplay
Infinite Burst takes the basics of Bullet Soul and adds two major enhancements: first, Burst Mode with it's overhauled level design, brand new coin-collecting mechanics and the eponymous Combination Burst system. Secondly, Loop, the bonus character, is now available across all modes. In addition, Normal and Caravan modes have been redesigned and rebalanced with new enemies and attack patterns and when Musou (or Infinite Burst) Mode is unlocked, you can rain down destruction with the titular Infinite Burst.
Music
The resident musical chefs, Kenji Ito and Kohta Takahashi return and this time they've brought Jake 'Virt' Kaufman to add his own blend of spice to their aural feast!
Story
Mecha-warl, an empire of evil, who would use their military might to conquer space itself.
This is the tale of the brave few who stood against their threat.
Zenichi, Yun, Sadahl and Loop begin their struggle to once more rid the galaxy of this threat.

Game is stupidly easy if you just play for survival. Playing for score, however, is fun as hell, especially in burst mode which is basically like Baby's First Dangun Feveron, barely paying attention to the enemies while you zip around trying to collect medals to keep your multiplier up before they fly off the screen. Also, in general this version appears to be a bit better than the original release, with somewhat more interesting enemy and bullet patterns. Still, this is less of a bullet dodger and more of a medal collector. Looks nice, audio can be annoying in burst mode because of your avatar yelling the same thing over and over, but in general this is a fun score chaser. Not a 5/5 but maybe a 4.1 found this helpful

BULLET SOUL INFINITE BURST, developed by MAGES. Inc. and Tachyon Inc. and published by MAGES. Inc., is a shoot ’em up that leans confidently into the traditions of arcade design while making subtle adjustments to keep the experience engaging and accessible. It does not try to reinvent the genre or introduce radically new ideas, but instead focuses on refining the essentials that define vertical shooters. The result is a game that feels immediate and energetic, offering players a constant stream of action without unnecessary complexity or delay. At its core, the gameplay is built around navigating dense waves of enemies and projectiles while maintaining a balance between offense and survival. One of the most notable aspects is how it encourages aggressive play. Instead of purely dodging incoming fire, players are rewarded for taking initiative and eliminating threats quickly, often clearing large portions of the screen by destroying key enemies. This approach creates a more active rhythm, where positioning and timing are just as important as reflexes. The controls are responsive, and the mechanics are easy to understand, making it approachable for newcomers while still leaving room…
its groovy
This is not your typical CAVE style shmup. What it is is a Collect-O-Thon shmup.
Good shmup vertical shooter. Great OST and graphics, I wonder why it did not become more popular. Very underrated game.
