Cards Survivors

While I like the core IDEA of this game I unfortunately cannot in good faith recommend the game at the current pricepoint with it's current content, the fundamental gameplay is enemies trying to reach you while you play cards from a deck to fire projectiles to prevent that, it's a neat idea reminiscent of those old flash defence games with a card game theme added on top! but unfortunately the gameplay is just extremely samey, the cards mostly boil down to shooting a projectile in a straight line with a modifier such as bouncing or piercing, or targeting an area and killing anything in that area, the relics primarily just give you more health or energy or just give you a way to earn gold(the post run currency), nothing that shakes up the gameplay or affects your build in any significant way, add to that the balance is EXTREMELY poor, the Piercing bullet costs 2 energy and just pierces while the bouncing bullet only costs 1 and both pierces AND bounces off the edge of the screen, you can get 3x energy for 8 seconds for 3 energy or 2x energy for 8 seconds for 4. and this extremely poor balance makes the sameness even worse since there are so many options that you should just objectiv…

I really wanted to give this game an upvote, but the game just doesn't feel complete and has issues holding it back. The core gameplay is pretty fun. It is a roguelike/survivors game where you use cards to defeat enemies. I was actually having fun at first. However, very soon you realize that whoever designed the game never really thought about how progression should be. There are cards that are just straight up inferior to other cards, or do the exact same thing but are more expensive and worse. Enemies also all only have 1 HP (aside from the bosses), so very quickly the game started to feel really repetitive. It just felt like the "fun factor" diminished way too fast. Overall, this game has potential, but it really feels like a game that is only 80% complete. If you can get it really cheap, maybe it's worth getting. Otherwise, you should probably pass on this in the current state.

I quit at [b]Act 3 Floor 36[/b] trying to reach the [u]final floor[/u] that the description talks about (no idea how high it is); but I ended up losing interest fighting the same enemies and bosses over and over.. For it's price (currently $10) I can't recommend it.

Came for one run, stayed for two hours. It's addictive!

Very fun game to play on the side. It deserves way more attention.

I have mixed feelings about this game. when I started playing it I was like, what the hell is with this, however after I got the balls and a lot of other abilities and relics, it was actually fun. I guess for a few hours could work really nice. This concept has also quite a lot of potential. For instance, adding some sort of auto attack towers on different positions or even having it multiplayer and strategize in plenty of ways. What I disliked the most were the boss fights.
