About Castra
This is a game where strategic decision making can turn the tide from victory to defeat. You will build your army, order movements, and execute attacks. As you begin conquering territories, you must balance available resources and units to protect what you've gained.
The world map is used to plan attacks, and decide which controlled territories need to be reinforced. While controlling more territories will generate more resources, you may find yourself stretched too thin. Striking the right balance between expansion and defense is an important skill in this war of conquest.
Each faction has a military camp where buildings can be constructed. Production buildings such as the barrack, factory, and airstrip produce units once constructed. Balancing resources and constructing the right units can make the difference between victory and defeat when an attack comes.
Varying unit combinations require strategic forethought and accurate predictions of enemy attacks. Each unit gains an advantage against specific units and has weaknesses against others. This means unit combinations play a critical role in the outcome of battles. This rock-paper-scissors style of balance creates strategic depth in the game.

This game has potential to become something better in the future, however currently the game isn't nearly as challenging as it should be and isn't very complex at all. The games units are all of the place as well, with the infantry being Roman foot soldiers and for some reason containing very futuristic tanks and bombers and it is not very balanced. The game is lacking in content and is nowhere near worth the $10 price tag currently on it, $5 would be a lot more reasonable for the current state of the game. Like I said earlier, this game has potential, but for now I'm getting a refund, but will check periodically on the game to see how its improved.7 found this helpful
I kickstarter this game, I know it is early access still but I have some issues with it. I played 3 games on Easy mode to start. 1. No tutorial, I started the game and built buildings over and over thinking they would auto create units or auto spawn so many. After awhile i learned you simply just click a building and build the units. 2. Combat is super buggy. If you send 1 tank against 3 foot soldiers it loses, it wont even kill one. I had to have nearly 10 tanks stacked on-top of one another in order to do anything. Aircraft units, these are even buggier. I had a "fleet" size of 46 and attacked a 1 unit defended chunk. I massacred my framerate! so many bombs dropped that the bombs were colliding with each other and going all over the screen, worst part of all of this... I would always lose a minimum of 3 units regardless of my defenders army size. 3. Winning; simply crashes the game. 4. and this was by far the second most annoying thing, buildings as a whole. Not textures, not models (though they need to be upgraded) I am talking about placement. I found a way to stack buildings ontop of buildings ontop of buildings and then click some and even managed to build some building…5 found this helpful
The basic structure is very solid. It has its weaknesses, but also its strengths. If you're still a little bit afraid of it now, then you should at least put it on your wish list. The developer is constantly trying to fix the bugs, usually the same day. Alone through the previous version the developer and I have corrected some bugs together and this always went smoothly and very fast. The principle is simple: you have a base, you have to extend it. Per round you get resources, which you send into buildings or troops. You conquer other regions via a world map. The AI is also a bit demanding, the only thing I miss at the moment is the multiplayer and a few more buildings. But all in all it is recommendable in its current state and for the current price.4 found this helpful
Good concept, but abandoned.2 found this helpful
Pretty good game, As a strategy lover: I loved the concept. It's like risk but better because it's not stupid dice. Still needs work but i bet it'll be good! kinda weird going from swords to tanks.... so maybe get a building that lets you "age up" or something idk.1 found this helpful
