About Cats VS Ghosts

Tower Defense: Cats are towers, ghosts are enemies and humans are target. You must put the correct cat to destroy the ghosts.
History: Few months ago, something strange began to happen. Civilians reported seeing strange figures wandering the streets, causing chaos and destruction in their wake. Soon it was discovered that they were ghosts who had appeared in the town and seemed to have no friendly intentions.
As the days went by, the ghosts became more and more aggressive, and the humans began to feel helpless in their presence. But there was a group of beings who wouldn't give up so easily: the cats.
The cats, known for their cunning and bravery, began patrolling the streets at night, searching for any signs of the ghosts. When they found one, they pounced on it without fear, clawing, biting and shooting until it disappeared.
The humans couldn't believe what they were seeing. The cats, who normally kept their distance from them, were now protecting them from a supernatural threat.
No one knows for sure why the cats decided to defend humans against the ghosts, but some speculate that they did it out of love for their home and their slaves.
Since then, it's said that the cats are always vigilant, ready to protect their humans from any supernatural danger that may arise.

Small and simple tower defense game in which you place kitties rather than towers. The goal is to protect a child from ghost through 12 missions that must be completed in order. Each level has a limited amount of area available for unit placement. Aside from the cat, which makes money, there are six units that attack either ground or air units, or both. A unit can be upgraded three times. The good news is that upgrades are always the same price and do not increase for the highest tiers. Upgrades improve the attack speed and damage of the unit, as well as the amount of money generated per second for the money unit. There are air units, but they follow the same path as the ground units, so there are no surprises. The same is true for invisible troops, because a single, fully upgraded detecting unit can cover a lot of ground. The game is not hard because it is extremely simple to earn money. If you concentrate on a few money generators, you'll have no issue beating stages.

I'll be honest, this is a tepid thumbs up. Everything works, but there really isn't anything exciting here. It's missing a lot of basic features I have come to expect from a TD game, no target prioritizing, no tactical options, no strategic upgrades, zero fluff, no way to speed up the game. Also nothing in the way of pathing. But the assets are cute, and there are a few different tower types, even if upgrades are a boring straight three. I was thinking it might be a good option for kids, a way to get into the genre. And as I said, the cats are cute. One thumb up, I think I paid 99cents, that's about right. ADDENDUM: 98 minutes from start to sick of it. It does get pretty hard, but bonus, you don't have to defeat a level to get the next one. While on that, only 12 levels.
