After an ill-advisedprank by Chester crystal cupcake adventure*, The Bad Guy has been pushed over the edge and driven on an absolute rampage. Buildings burned, realities shattered, and most importantly of all: CUPCAKES STOLEN.
It's not going to be easy putting this world back together, so you're just going to ignore that part and focus on the cupcakes!
Get ready to fight through over 40 levels finding cupcakes, killing baddies, and collecting stamps to spend on the many unlockables of CHESTER!

Eat magical candies you find floating about to change the look of the entire world around you! As you progress through Chester One you'll unlock more Magical Style Candies that you can eat. Each style candy changes gameplay up in unique ways.
Over 10 unique characters to unlock!
You won't just be unlocking new Styles as you play, but completely new Chesters to play as as well! With The Bad Guy destroying realities like he did, Chesters from other universes can help Chester out on his quest. Unlockable Chesters range from classy gentlement, to tanks, and spaceships, and weird slug things.
Over 20 original songs that capture the fun quirkiness of classic video game music with a modern vibe that will keep you grooving through all 40 levels.

Игра Chester One – это настоящий привет из прошлого, который, тем не менее, способен увлечь и сегодня. С первых минут погружаешься в атмосферу ретро-приключения, где пиксельная графика и простенький, но цепляющий саундтрек создают неповторимое настроение. Управление отзывчивое, а дизайн уровней продуман до мелочей – каждый прыжок, каждая ловушка заставляют мозг работать на полную катушку. Сюжет, хоть и не претендует на глубину, отлично справляется со своей задачей – дать игроку стимул двигаться вперед. Chester, наш маленький герой, очарователен в своей простоте, и ему действительно хочется помочь добраться до конца. Игра не пытается показаться чем-то большим, чем она есть: это честное, ламповое платформенное приключение, которое дарит радость от преодоления трудностей и открытий. "Chester One" is one of literally thousands of retro 2D platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere... and I'm not kidding. Searching for "platformers" on the Steam store page yields over 17,000 results! Is this one of the best of those? Absolutely not. This was at least a genuinely made 2D retro platformer... but genuine doesn't mean good, or even remotely competently made. Before we even get into how bad the graphics are, the overall game design is a sloppy mess, with random death for no reason, an ocean of unfixed bugs and glitches, godawfully bad level design... truly some of the worst platforming has to offer. And it gets worse. Platforming is an old, mostly dead genre, and this lacklustre experience, while it doesn't have an upfront cost, isn't saving the genre... it's no surprise this failed to capture any attention from gamers in the era of immersive 3D gaming. The graphics here are particularly awful, a blend of garbage pixelcrap with some of the worst "Baby's First Wacom Tablet" "drawings" so bad that it actually stands out as one of the worst looking games on Steam. Terrible level design, inconsistent hit boxes, cheap repetitive traps, poorly placed checkpoints, always falling through platforms or moving on invisible ones, controls that somehow manage to feel simultaneously too stiff AND too slippery, die and restart so quickly you can't even tell what killed you, and man is this game ugly. No thanks, this one is definitely free for a reason
